Our vacation was absolutely incredible, and so much of that magic was thanks to Madelyn at poolside and Geraldo, our concierge. Every time Madelyn and Gerardo checked on us, it wasn’t just a quick glance t...o see if we needed anything; they genuinely cared about making sure we were having the best possible experience. Madelyns upbeat personality and warm smile made each interaction feel like catching up with an old friend. No request was too much trouble, she took care of it all with grace and a smile. Her presence was one of the highlights of our vacation, and we can’t thank her enough for making our trip so unforgettable. If you ever have the pleasure of being served by Madelyn and Gerardo, you’re in for an exceptional experience—they are truly the best.

It’s been a week since we got back and just sharing our experience. This our tenth resort within the UVC hotels (first one outside of Mexico) and we definitely enjoyed the experience. Our favorite part of ...the property was the beach/ocean. I had not spent that much time in the ocean in almost 20 years (and I’m still missing that). The rooms were beautiful. We were upgraded to a bungalow in building 7 and we loved waking up to see the ocean. We had a preferred room and while this is something that normally really enjoyed at other properties, I’m not sure it is needed here. The preferred longe area did not really have a wider variety, the main pool had a much better view of beach. We went to the preferred pool for less than an hour and then stayed at the beach area or main pool. We did the Soana Reserve VIP trip through Amstar and it was fantastic (long however - recommend checking the threads as some have posted about a cheaper shorter option). No issues with chairs but we were either in ocean or pool so didn’t really care where we sat. The straw complaints are REAL. Bring your own straws or be ready to have the ones they provide break down within three sips. We loved our butler, Carlos, he went out of his way to answer questions and provide assistance. Best food experience for us was Bordeaux & Oceana. We splurged for the lobster dinner and it was worth it in our opinion. Large enough to share. I have a severe nut allergy and they were extremely accommodating. Regarding the staff, they were friendly and courteous. In other resorts, there have been so many that I can’t count or name. Here we only found one or two at the different restaurants: Leidy, Juan Carlos, Juan B. By the pool: Filomena and Judit. Taco trays were delicious so make sure you order early. Smoothie bar was a great touch, gym had lots of equipment and very clean. We had an issue with mosquitos and our butler noticed all of the bites on my arms and had the room fumigated after our second night and didnt have any issues after that. Only real negatives: our building (7) was near the smoking section and as a non smoker with continued respiratory issues would request a different building next time we go (plus it’s next to the smoothie bar). Our check out was a nightmare. Took almost 40 minutes and had it not been for our butler who assisted, who knows how much longer it would have been. I can definitely see why so many people love this location. The property is huge and there is something for everyone.

Awesome vacation! Would do it all over again and hope to do so again one day. Great pools, views, and service. Nothing like having frozen drinks delivered to you at your poolside chairs. The beach was clea...n. The food and drink options were above average. The accommodations and cleanliness were outstanding. Must do again!

We just returned home from SCC. It was our 1st time there and won’t be our last. As everyone has mentioned the staff is excellente! Want to give a shout out to Wanel at Rosewater in am an Oceana for dinne...r always upbeat.LaDiva is a perfect entertainment supervisor. Yuleisy at preferred pool never left your drink empty and smiled all day. Francy at preferred lounge makes the best smoked Old Fashion. Such a happy man. Loved going there for a pre and post dinner drink. Javier in am makes a great bloody. Another nice man. Our butler was Miguel. He was helpful with a funny sense of humor. Yes Miguel we are hum. Overall a great trip. There were a few hiccups but we plan to return. Clean, pretty resort with a beautiful beach. Big thanks to all the staff that made for a nice vacation.
