My. Husband and I were welcomed back with open arms! We have been at the Blau many many times… our first time was back in 2011 and for sure we will be coming back! The beauty of the this hotel captures yo...ur heart from the street! The front desk service is welcoming and all are happy upon your arrival. Suset you are the best ! We have stayed on the 11 floor, 9th floor 8th floor many times …ocean view and front view … all stunning views. This time we were on the 4th floor too low to see the ocean but closer to ground view and we loved it just the same! Actually so much I hope the next trip we get the 4th floor again!!! And to add to that our door looked over the piano bar! What a treat!!! The hotel is spotless!!! Our maid was cheerful and we always had a beautiful surprise of towel art waiting for us. We enjoyed our early morning coffee made with love by Reidel .( and the many I had during the day) The coffee bar was another treat… Ernesto it was so nice to see you! We know so many, you are all like family !!!! Our meals were of an abundance!!! Nothing was missing! So much to choose from! I took pictures of every meat I ate! Our waiters were the best! Evelio, Jennifer, Isabella, Mary…. Your smiles, and sincere greetings every time you saw us warmed our hearts! You all made us feel like we were sitting at your kitchen table! Zenia… your energy is 100% from start to finish! You’re the best! Your energy is contagious ! You are the heart beat at the Blau! The pool is clean and beautiful… Zumba in the pool was amazing! Lots of lounging chairs!!!! Stunning well kept grounds that were constantly being maintained! Kodos to all the hard working gardeners and their green thumbs ! The are the quit workers that always gave us an Hola with a smile! We rented a beach cabana for a week and love it. ( only one incident with a Russian couple that tried to take it for free. There are signs posted on the cabanas ! You have to reserve and pay for them) Thank you Danella ( at the beach) for your help in correcting this matter. You were professional and so quick to help us in this situation . The beach was not only stunning it was clean with many places to lounge and relax. There was beach volley ball every day that we enjoyed watching …. Dancing lessons on the beach every day! Aqua gym in the ocean too! The band Crisma played at lunch and in the evenings …. They are the best!!! The Blau is blessed to have them…. They are the heart of this beautiful hotel! We can’t say enough about the Blau and ALL THE STAFF! It is safe It’s is clean It is fun It is beautiful This hotel is second to none! Our home away from home! We feel like family … only separated my the mile between us. We will be back!

I recently completed a seven day solo vacation at Blau and cannot overstate what an incredibly rich and rewarding experience it was staying at this resort. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. ...The facility was fresh, clean and easy to navigate. The aesthetics were flush with greenery and a complete sight to behold. Stunning, elegant, classy. Some of the many ways I'll forever remember this beautiful hotel. Coming to Cuba, one often expects to experience certain concessions while staying at any of the many beautiful resorts the country has to offer. None of those concessions apply to Blau. The food was plentiful. There was an abundance of fresh food in many varieties. The buffet was well stocked and not a day went by where I wasn't spoiled by choice and abundance. The quality of the (two) à la carte restaurants was even more impressive than the buffet. The meals being prepared at the restaurants at Blau easily rival some of the best you'd find anywhere else in the world. The house musicians attending the International restaurant are world class and add a level of elegance to the ambience you just have to experience for yourself. The many bars located around the resort never left you waiting for drinks, snacks or conversation. This was the complete package. The quality on offer at Blau isn't just great by Cuban standards; It's great by any standard. The one stand-out feature of Blau, and something I'll be missing the most; the magnificent cafe / coffee bar. The outstanding quality of the coffee is rivalled only by the generous and knowledgeable staff running this corner of the resort. Big shout out of appreciation to the team as they are the real deal. Second note of appreciation is for the hotel staff performing the room turn down service. I experienced a not-insignificant medical issue related to a surgery I had a few weeks prior to my visit. This emergency resulted in at least a few of the housekeepers taking note of my struggle and stepping in to asisst me above and beyond what their job description may have suggested. Absolute professionalism but more than that, care, compassion and concern. They did an amazing job assisting me and taking extra care in the days following the experience. Extremely lovely and understanding. A million thanks and appreciation! The entire resort was peppered with lovely personalities and friendly faces. You will make friends at Blau and you wont want to leave them behind. No resort is perfect or without it's faults however and if you look hard enough you will find things to criticize. This is true of any resort in any country. That being said the many pluses far outweigh any of the negatives you may find. You visit Blau and you will be surrounded by wonderful people who truly care about your experience. For that reason alone I'll be planning a return visit ASAP.

This is my very first trip review ever, and I’m thrilled to share it! My girlfriend and I decided to take a girls' trip to Cuba and stayed at Blau Varadero. We left April 3rd and just got back today—and I ...already miss this place so much! It was my fourth time in Cuba but my first time at Blau, and I truly hope this review helps anyone thinking of visiting. Yes, the hotel is older, but it has such charm and character. The long, hanging vines gave it this romantic, tropical vibe that I absolutely loved—it felt like a beautiful movie set. The pool area was amazing, with plenty to do and such a lively, fun atmosphere. For those who worry about food, let me put your mind at ease. My girlfriend is a chef, and I was concerned because it was her first time in Cuba and she’d heard all the negative comments about resort food. But to our surprise, she was really impressed! There was variety, no shortages, and we both enjoyed every meal. She was pleasantly surprised, and that says a lot coming from a professional chef! We loved the convenience of the beach bar—no need to wander far for a delicious mojito right by the ocean! The piano bar was a hidden gem too—so classy and relaxing. And the theme nights were a blast! My favorite was the White Party—such great energy and everyone got into the spirit. If I had to nitpick, I’d just say that the beach washrooms occasionally ran out of toilet paper—but that’s such a small thing in comparison to the overall experience. Let’s talk about the beach. Just stunning. I’ve traveled a lot and still believe Cuba has the most beautiful beaches—turquoise water, soft white sand... it was paradise. But above all, what truly made this trip unforgettable was the people. The Cuban staff at Blau Varadero were the absolute heart and soul of the resort. Every single person we encountered—from the cooks to the maids, gardeners, entertainers, dancers, concierge team, servers, bartenders—every one of them deserves recognition. They are kind, warm, hardworking, and always smiling. You can feel their joy and generosity in every interaction. A special thank you to our amazing maid Anita—so sweet and creative with how she decorated our room every day. Isaac—thank you for the dances and good vibes! And our favorite waiter Agdiel—you were so friendly and thoughtful. Blau Varadero has officially become my favorite hotel in Cuba. I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for beauty, fun, and genuine warmth in their travel experience.

This Resort was unbelievably amazing , my wife Senka and I watched a Youtube review from @Finding_Fish speaking highly of this resort. We just had to see it for ourselves. The entracne is just beautiful ..., the Elite Select suite was spacious and super clean , in fact the entire resort was super clean. And there is the bluest of blue oceans. We met so many amazing staff members , a server Aydi who was spectucalar , friendly and super fun. Also met the best grill cook ever Javier in the Lunch buffert building. We loved the amout of wildlife from feral cats , wild dogs , lizards and so many birds. We even got to get real close to Pelicans on the beach. We also loved seeing so many vintage classic cars I Jason and my wife Senka highly recommend visiting Blau Resort, we will most certainly be returning again in the future

its a beautiful hotel and all staff are very friendly. Rosie help me to everything at hotel, she is the best. My room is also very clean. I will definitely come back. I wasn’t sure about food before I came... here but its better than I expected. Highly recommend
