We were 2 couples stayed July 10-17 from Montreal. It was my 13th time to Blau Varadero. Best beach ever! Best staff ever! They work beyond hard. I wish the Blau management would start to allow some staff eat lunch with guests again. Blau’s large group of returning guests is mainly because of the staff and the connections they make with them. Not allowing them to interact with guests is not a wise decision in my opinion. The entertainment team work so hard and keep things moving. Cuban Day, Beach Party, Pool Foam Party, Aqua fit, Salsa lessons, beach and pool games, archery, shooting range. Zenia and her team are amazing. Big shout to Adolfo, he is a huge part of Blau always willing to help anywhere he is needed beyond his own tasks on the animation team. Pool and beach bar staff are fabulous(Dunia, Raydel, Eddy, Dariel the list goes on and on). Waiters at coffee shop, buffet, Palma Real are so professional and always great to chat with (Evelio, Norberto, Ernesto, Lisy, Leydis, Pagel, again list goes on and on). Guest services thank you for being so amazing to Rocio and Sara. I am Very Grateful to Head Chef Ivan and his best guy Sandy (Alexander) and other chefs who took good care of me personally for each lunch and dinner as I am Celiac (Severe Allergy to Gluten). As busy as they are running around making sure things run as smoothly as possible they would take the time to take care of me. Cleaning staff, gardeners always working to make sure the hotel and grounds are kept lovely. There is no doubt Cuba is suffering with food and beverage supplies but that is no fault of this hotel. They do the best they can with what they have. We can thank their government for that problem!! Please be generous if you visit. Bring essentials, Toothepaste, Advil, Tylenol, Pepto Bismol chewable tablets, Allergy pills, Baby Advil, Baby Zinc bum cream, Bug Spray, Sun screen, Rub A 5/35, laundry sheets, panty hose, Bras, garden gloves etc etc ….and CASH. To Canadian guests…..please do Not bring Loonies and Toonies they cannot use them and they must work even harder than they already do to try and exchange them with other guests for paper cash. Bring $5’s Cdn and bring 1’s Usd for the smaller tips. Thank you Blau Family!! xo

We had an amazing time as a family! The entertainment team and the staff are wonderful. We understand the Blau staff do the best they can with the food. The beach, the amenities, the rooms are very clean. There is also a fun time by the beach from 11 pm until almost 2 am. Can’t wait to come back!

overall amazing experience at this hotel. beach and activities are amazing there is so much to do! rooms are very comfortable. my favourite was the beach bar party that starts at 11pm-1:30am! and especially big shoutout to the staff! they are very attentive and nice!!

Cuba is like going back in time. We love that feeling. The country is beautiful. Wish to have had more time to visit more places. We went to Trinidad, Viñales, Habana, to the waterfalls and the “indio”-cave. Everything was very impressive. The hotel was relaxing and we could enjoy the beautifull beach and the nice treatment of the staff. We recommend this place 100%

My wife and I stayed at Blau Varadero from June 27 to July 11,2024. The architecture of the property is impressive and the beach is spectacular ! The employees are delightful and work very hard. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was also large with good water pressure and hot water all the time. The room was cleaned well daily and the towels changed mostly my Rosario our wonderful housekeeper . The food in the buffet was better than expected. An issue we had was resolved promptly above and beyond expectations by Karl the food and beverage manager. The Customer Service team led by Sarah was welcoming and very helpful. They communicated with us regularly. We would like to shout out to the following employees who made us feel at home away from home. Yoel (Piano Bar), Jennifer (Buffet), Duniesky (Buffet), Yeni (Restaurant), Yamile (Groundskeeper), Ridel (Pool Bar), Dania (Pool Bar), Yazury (Pool Bar), Jorge (Beach Lifeguard), Emilio, Pool Bar), Yuliet (Pool Bar) and Dailey (Buffet). The mail downside was the lack of designated smoking areas because we were constantly surrounded by unpleasant smoke. The entertainment in the Piano Bar was enjoyable but could have been longer. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Blau Varadero to others.
