We booked a week at this all inclusive resort for our family over Christmas. We were guaranteed an ocean or garden view suite. Pls see video as to what we received. Our balconies overlooked a LOUD water treatment plant and a service road, and backed up to a highway. We immediately informed our concierge Samantha and our travel agent. Our travel agent made 29 phone calls that were never returned. Our concierge told mgmt the next day and told us her manager would meet with us on day 3 and I could come to lobby and wait for him. Nope. We spent well over $20k with this resort and this was how they took care of us. Advice: stay down the beach at Grand Velas. That resort isn’t owned by some huge mgmt company that could care less, and the food is MUCH BETTER.

I am currently staying at the Garza Blanca Resort in Los Cabos. It is a beautiful hotel and the staff is extremely polite (even as they as saying "no" to some requests). However, I do need to point out several problems, causing my review to go to average instead of closer to excellent. 1. Family of 10 traveling. Only two couples and the rest are famiy members ranging in age from 6 to 70. I reserved (or so I thought), two 2-bedroom suites with one king in one bedroom and two queens in the other to accommodate the sleeping needs of the different family members. When we checked in, we were given two 2-bedroom suites with only kings in each bedroom. This was not going to work for our family, but were told that our reservation was ONLY a "request" and they could not honor that request. I needed to be told that 10 months before when I made the reservations, not when I arrived and there were no other rooms available. (I also would like to know how it was decided which reservation was assigned the rooms as was requested.) 3 rollaway beds were needed. For the amount of money I am spending, nobody should have to sleep on a rollaway AND we did not want to utilize the pull-out couch in the living room because of use of the living room late into the night and early in the morning by different family members. 2. Both suites were reserved with an ocean view. This is not the same as ocean front, which only the 3 and 4-bedroom suites have. From the living room, the view is of the hotel next door, with beautiful flowers hanging from each balcony and each totally facing the ocean. From the balcony edge, if you lean one way, you do get a view of some ocean. If you lean the other way, you get a view of the road filled with non-stop traffic. On to #3. 3. As described in #2, because of the proximity to the road, the traffic noise removes any possibility of possibly hearing the ocean waves. Although the rooms across the hall face the pools, it still would be better to hear pool noise during the day, but silence (or possibly ocean waves) during the night. As it turns out, I wish I had requested (not reserved, of course) a pool view room, because those would be quieter and have a better view of the ocean, as well, from the balcony. With that all being said, the food is very good, the rooms are very clean and nicely furnished, and the service staff members are extremely polite and accommodating.

Overall resort is beautiful and super clean. The rooms were nice and modern. The food was really good especially the steak house and Italian restaurant. The buffet breakfast was also really good. However the service was lacking. We weren’t greeted warmly by the front staff. We also weren’t offered welcome drinks as we saw some guests having champagne. The service at the restaurants and buffet breakfast was also just average. Often times we were asking for a server to take our drink orders. The service at the pools was a bit better but we were also tipping a lot too. There is no evening entertainment which was disappointing. There is a mix of young couples and families. There is also no 247 bar or snack bar.

Came to the Garza Blanca for my friends Bachelorette and we had the best time! We stayed in the 4 bedroom suite and it was perfect for a large group. Our butlers Leo and Luis made our trip so wonderful through reserving us pool chairs, making restaurant reservations, and responding to our several requests in a quick and cheerful manner! They were the best! We also had a breakfast catered in our room and it was delicious and the best experience. Would definitely recommend the Garza Blanca to anyone! There is a good mix of families and young adults at the resort making it a good place for any group.

We are staying in the 3 bedroom loft suite room 931 right now which unbeknown to us at check in is directly below an outdoor restaurant on property called Noi. For the last 5 hours from 6pm to 11pm all we hear in our suite is tables and chairs scrapping the floor above us and echoing throughout our 2 story suite. What an awful design flaw to put a restaurant on top of a suite. The manager on duty has said there’s nothing they do about it and this is completely unacceptable. It is ruining our family vacation for the 6 of us to not enjoy a peaceful Christmas hanging out playing cards and games in our room in the evening
