Best service in Cancun! Gary y Ricardo

Global18766015317 (Canada) on Jun 07, 2025

Just got back from an amazing week at Royalton Chic! We did go Diamond Club. Totally worth it. Not only if allows premium alcohol, hydrotherapy at the spa, a dedicated pool and a dedicated beach section ...but on top of that it gives you the amazing services of two butlers completely dedicated to your room. We had Gary and Ricardo, the best butlers in Mexico! They provided us with unbelievable service from arrival to departure. They tooked care of our reservations at the restaurants, the spa, and made sure we took advantage of every activity the hotel offered. Rooms are unbelievably clean and spacious. Go for the ocean view, it is pure paradise. Food was good all over the resort and every employe works hard making sure your time there is unforgettable We stayed for a week and it went by so fast… Do no hesitate and go there.

Best trip ever

Mikel J on Jun 07, 2025

I have been to royalton 3 years in a row and this year I decided to do two weeks with diamond club and it was more than worth it, my butlers (sandra and Omar) made sure I had information on everything ever...y day with a immediate response to any requests I made with a loving reassuring service. The hotel was clean, beds comfortable and a view to die for. Food was extremely tasty and to me this was my favourite trip thus far and I will be back as I feel that this is the best hotel in Cancun for aesthetics and good vibes. Thank you royalton and thank you sandra and Omar .

Honeymooners Review, Royalton Chic Cancún Review

Great butlers Caesar and Victor! They ensured we were well taken of and little work was done by us. The food was great also. Vanessa and Pavel are worth the meeting you have with them. The Excursions team ...ensured Xplor was set up well, be aware of the smaller guy on that team, he’s not the most hospitable at times.

Honeymoon Trip !

devisham on Jun 07, 2025

The hotel was super clean and vibrant. The food was great at all the restaurants as well. Our butler Cesar & Victor made our experience 1000 times better with making reservations for us and giving us Any i...nfo that we needed. I will say if you are going to dine at the restaurants, it’s best to make your reservations before hand and it tends to get pretty busy on weekends. A special thank you again to Cesar, Victor and Vanessa and the Royalton staff for being super Welcoming and helping us enjoy our honeymoon !

Good hotel with ups and downs

markdG1263QY on Jun 07, 2025

My friend and I had an overall great experience at this hotel. Of course every resort has its ups and downs which I’m going to address below but in the end we did enjoy our stay. Pros: - We had 2 butlers ...( Gilbert and Marisol) who definitely elevated the whole experience. They were so friendly and so good to us… I only have lovely and positive things to say about them. Anything we requested they delivered. Even something as simple as a bubble bath they always treated us so well. - Staff members across the resort are well trained in customer service. Majority of them always positively greeted us and served us very well. Of course there’s a few bad apples here and there which is to be expected. - Food and drinks quality at the buffet and bar is very good. We have had some amazing superstar staff members as well such as Don Fernando from the buffet and Samuel from the bar ( night shift) - It’s a very party vibe hotel with no kids so if that’s your thing and you like late night parties then that’s perfect! - Super lovely entertainment team. I adored Alex and Diego! - Room cleaning was on point! Shoutout to those hard working ladies! Cons: - The reception lady first gave us a price to pay in USD but when we let her know that we want to pay in Mexican pesos, the price dramatically dropped which made us feel like if we were to agree to USD we would have been over charged. She then made us sign a verbal warning paper in regards to our bad behaviour. After reading it I was confused as to why we would have to sign such a thing when we just showed up after a 10 hours flight and then challenged her on it. She replied stating this is the procedure and all guests have to do this. In translation what this means is if you do one mistake they can use this form with the authorities to say you already have been told off and i don’t know maybe kick you out? Also that was a red flat to me as it made me feel like they have a lot of problematic guests and my gut feeling was right as we found out later on especially when seeing the Mexican police arresting guests on a daily basis ( something i have never seen before at any other hotel) - The beach was nowhere near a high level of satisfaction especially when you take into the account the fact that we paid so much money to have diamond club. There’s seaweed everywhere and you are not allowed to swim at all. You can only stand and get hit by waved otherwise the life guard would whistle and whistle you. The problem with seaweed could easily be solved by having a net around the private beach ( like i have seen in many other hotels). Not entirely sure if that would affect wild life but if it does then I understand why they wouldn’t do anything about the seaweed. If you want an umbrella you have to ask for them to install it every single time and then of course they expect a tip. The diamond club bar on the beach was quite disappointing. The bartenders never smiled or say thank you/ you’re welcome even when you are nice to them. The waiters are very slow and if you do not tip then expect tumble weeds as they will not come to serve you. A few exceptions of course but most of the beach staff members customer service training did not reflect the buffet one which was on point. - The diamond club exclusive bar is hilarious. It’s a closet right next to the reception. The atmosphere is dead. Only went there once. - The Buffet had limited food. Very good quality, don’t get me wrong but for the amount of money they charge, you would expect a much bigger selection such as the all inclusive hotels in Tunisia for example. Also no french fries ever?? I have never stayed at a hotel where they never serve french fries. Instead, it’s raining with potato Crisps which we did not like. - A la carte restaurants are a way for them to upsell their wine selections. The food is more or less the same like in the buffet but everything is wrapped in a more fancy atmosphere. Honestly you’re better off going to the buffet and getting stuffed and drunk on wine “ for free” as you already paid to have it ALL INCLUDED so why would I pay 70 USD on a bottle of wine… - Room service food was really disappointing. Not a lot of selection and the quality was not as good as the buffet… Also no french fries whatsoever Other than the hotel, if you are planning to go to Mexico I definitely encourage to invest in a few excursions. They were definitely worth it but please be mindful with who you are booking them. We went through Tui to ensure we didn’t get ripped off.
