No Bueno

L R on Dec 08, 2024

Keys did not work during 4 day stay. Had to go to front desk to be let in to room. System error… 5 star resort that can’t fix this over 4 days? No beach access. Cannot swim at beach. QR codes for room service and snack restock did not work. System error again we were told. Items were moved around in room during times we went to pool and turn down service. At one time during service we came back from pool with outside door wide open… I guess it was the one time the staff didn’t actually have to open our door for us. Food quality is generic food service Upon settling the bill… tips that were left and written as USD were then up charged almost 2O%. When I went to settle my bill before leaving and wanted to pay cash they wanted to add 15% for the convenience of cash. They did not want to zero out my bill before leaving after I paid…. So I stood there for an hour until I had a copy in my hand. Management is very poor

Birthday/Girls Trip

This is the first time at this resort. Beautiful place, great pools, love the lazy river. Everyone is very friendly. Some great employees, Carlos working at the infinity pool, keeping an eye on the chairs. He seems firm but a real sweetheart! Alma, a server at the infinity pool, great at her job! Sheila at Coralle, server for dinner, she’s amazing! Downsides - rooms along the main road can be noisy from the traffic driving by. It’s like you need a soundproof door. Because some restaurants require reservations and some you just show up. El Patron Restaurant for dinner we were told in an email, by the concierge when we arrived and even verified with the restaurant what nights were a la carte vs a buffet night. So we could figure out what night we were going to each place. I was looking forward to going to El Patron the last night since it was an a la carte menu night. We showed up only to find out they switched it to a buffet, no explanation. It would also be nice to have another breakfast place besides just a buffet and room service. I would like a better explanation on the all inclusive. It states gratuities are included. However your receipts all make it look like you need to include a tip. Even staff give varying stories and make it seem like there really isn’t anything included, or not much, or it is taxed a lot. What’s true and how much do they really get.

Lovely property, the lazy river is a nice addition. Staff very courteous and friendly. Shout out to Pablo who took great care of us by the pool. Jesus was also a superstar! The steak restaurant Latitud 23.5 had the best food on the resort…… We will definitely be back!!
