Girl's Trip

We booked this resort for a girls’ trip and had a great relaxing time overall. We went all out and rented both a poolside cabana and a beach cabana. Be sure to double-check cabana locations before booking ...since the views vary. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Food was average, and surprisingly the buffet was the best meal we had, which we didn’t try until the last day since we usually skip buffets. The wine didn’t wow us, and the mixed cocktails were on the sweet side, but the bartenders and servers were great! We stuck with basic cocktails and were happy enough. We were a little concerned about the rooms based on some of the other reviews, but we didn’t have any issues with any of the rooms. Our group was on the adults-only side. We never left the resort, so I can't speak to the location except to say the beach view was beautiful. Lastly, we all booked massages, and the big debate was who had the best treatment because we each claimed our masseuse was the best. So, safe to say, with thought, the massages were excellent! The spa itself was small and underwhelming, but the services and therapist were great!
Amazing stay at the Hilton Rose Hall

Have just returned from staying at the Hilton Rose Hall for two weeks and what an amazing experience me and my family had. Whilst we did have a continuous leak from the air con unit in our room, when rep...orted engineers were sent up to fix the trouble quickly. This was the only negative from the holiday. The hotel had everything to offer from good food, good drinks (especially the bob marley cocktail), great facility for the kids this included both pools, slides and kids club. All the staff within the kids club were lovely and my kids especially loved making tie dye tshirts and bracelets. The entertainment team made our holiday. A massive shout out to Jessel, Andre, Romario and Sakay who were amazing everyday, our whole family had so much fun, especially my son who was up in stage most days joining in the quizzes, singing on stage etc. I would highly recommend this hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to come back!!!
Worst experience ever on holiday

Does not stand up to the Hilton brand. Front of house staff are nothing short of awful, no customer service skills. We had to cut our stay short due to a family member being critically in and sought help f...rom reception and they did not care one bit. Tried to palm us off. Check in process was ridiculous, we had family arrive the night before who had a completely different experience, they recieved vouchers, guidance on the hotel facilities, and a complimentary welcome drink. Check out was no better... we explained why we were checking out and the first thing they cared about is to tell us (after a bit of back chatting in ear shot) that we would face a penalty for early Check out. Prior to our holiday, about a month before I emailed the executive chef, miguel herrera who replied to say they would accommodate our dietary needs and he would meet me on arrival. I emailed him the day after we arrived to ask to meet. To date, I have had no response from him. Luckily a helpful and friendly chef Rohan, helped accommodate and we are grateful to him. Unfortunately we met him a few days into our holiday. The rooms are dated, awful, unclean, and not maintained, the fixtures including the taps are loose. Minibar was supposed to be topped up daily, ours wasn't. The worst bit was they double booked our room so on day 2 someone was issued with cards to access our room. Luckily we were in the room and reported it to reception... this wasn't until someone else tried to enter our room and left the door wide open. This might have been why our room wasn't cleaned or replenished, they had no one checked in according to their system. They accepted liability for this issue and offered 100 usd credit. Generally the staff (other than front of house) are amazing and do far more than they probably get paid to do. The lady in the gift shop was someone they should put somewhere else, her attitude and customer service was non existent. Had we not had the 100 usd to spend, I wouldn't have spent a dollar in the shop. The water park is just 2 slides and a lazy river which is small and a pool bar. The entertainment is OK, good enough. The gym is falling apart most of the equipment was out of service! Coffee shop is ok, ice cream available. Hotel is in a nice location but away from everything. It has a great view of the sea (depending on where your room is). Beach is small but saying that we didn't feel it was overcrowded.
Wanted to love this hotel

First off at check in our room was somehow downgraded and if I didn’t say something we would’ve been in a room that was less expensive than what I paid for. They moved us but still. The food here is medio...cre at best. The service-some people were nice others had a horrible attitude and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The beach was nice-shallow and warm. There might be see urchins which my mom did step on one so water shoes might be a good option. Check out was awful. Make sure you get there an hour early because it took forever. The lazy river and slides were fun pretty easy to find a tube. The drinks were good also. But I would probably stay somewhere else.
