Sorry. Bad beach

er_nurse911 (Richmond Hill, Canada) on Sep 25, 2024

Went Sept 5 to 15. Resort Has nice rooms. Food is good. Pool-no swim up bar. About 110 pool lounges around the pool with only 13 umbrellas for shade, so every early morning if you did not get the umbrella, u will be in sun all day. I do not get it why they so short of umbrellas. The life guard in the pool is sitting in the life guard box which constructed with small hols on the walls and the guard is watching people through the holes, not to mention a huge 6, 1/2 ft bush just outside the life guard booth, that totally is obstructing the guards view, I don't know who can put something like that for people safety. If you like to be at the beach - find another resort. The beach is not walkable, rocks on both sides of the beach. The beach has a sand dune that loungers are placed on it at 45 degree angle. Then u have to roll down the dune to the water. Then climb up the sand dune to get out of the beach. The acrobatics are necessary. The pic view of the beach on their website is so far, that you are unable to notice all the problems. Not recommending. Only to families that want to use lasy river, not the beach

Read such a mixture of reviews before going, that I really wasn’t sure how the hotel would be. I couldn’t have been happier once we was , the hotel was lovely, the room wasn’t wow wee no, but good enough to sleep in… people lovely, food lovely, lazy river lovely , entertainment good some nights especially the Michael Jackson night . A veryrelaxing holiday

Lovely and friendly team with great facilities!

Laura D on Sep 19, 2024

My boyfriend and I have just spent 10 days here and overall it was very good. We got off to a rocky start, we checked in and were assigned, in a polite way, a not very nice room. The room was really dark, the balcony door didn’t closed properly (it was a ground floor room so had access to the public paths) and the room was incredibly dirty. I went back up to the reception desk and asked to swap rooms, the receptionist said there would be a charge for this even though I explained our issues, we ended up paying though as we weren’t about to stay in that room for 10 days. We later found out that other couples have had the same issues with those rooms and didn’t have to pay for the room move/upgrade due to the same issues we had faced. Once we moved rooms, the stay got better, we stayed in 525 overlooking the golf course/sea which was amazing. The sun sets over the golf course in the evenings and it was beautiful. The grounds are really well kept and you can see the team working tirelessly to keep them looking great. Massive shout out to Aston down at the pool bar, he’s a credit to the team and works so hard, he’s so polite and welcoming but not overbearing. Overall of the team were really polite and friendly. We frequented the Italian restaurant the most, the food was lovely and was busy every evening.

Perfect place to relax

Dreamer11888879705 on Sep 17, 2024

First let me start by saying THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF WE ENCOUNTERED during our 5 night stay at the Hillton. They were all very pleasant and helpful Tyoni..(conceirge) really warm and accomodating Nurse Mya. is vert thoughful Food was very tasty... Absolutely no complaints . Chef Heuri( probably spelt incorrect) Im sorry) was very accomodating in assisting us with our breakfast requirement. Enough variety to choose from. So who can't find something to ieat, this IS NOT a reflection of availability but rather personal choice.in food preferences .Room 713.. comfortable. Slept very peaceful. The adjoining door unlocks ONLY FROM the room you are in. SO SAFETY I believe is the responsibility of the person in the room. SIMPLY LOCK your side No issues encountered. Room service and house keeping were prompt and friendly.. I like the location of the hotel because its off the hotel busy chain... that suited us perfectly but I wouldnt reccomend here if you want to get out and walk about. It is located off a busy highway with nothing to really see but traffic . The shuttle takes you to a nearby shopping outlet. There are trips that you can book at hotel. Its optional, no pressure to book. Drinks are strong ?? ?? but the bartenders are more than happy to make the drink less intense ?? Thank you Ricky and Abiona..from the Italian restaurant... very interactive young ladies whilst attending our table. The beach is ok. Its not miles of unspoilt sand but the water was warm.I could appreciate it. I think the water park area was quiet nice to have Although its an older hotel, it is maintained.I I would definitely return here or recommend it to anybody looking to chill ?? out . Keep up the good work. Thanks for all your hospitality Sam and Tony
