Best vacation

We stayed at Grand Lido located in the Royalton Negril. Our vacation started with Club Mobay pick up service at the airport. Then, we were taken to the resort. Upon arrival, we were greeted with drinks ...& then taken to our room. Our butlers Condley & Tiana took our luggage & showed us to our room & how everything worked. They installed WhatsApp so we could communicate directly. Every day, we got a message about where we wanted our dinner reservation & what the evening entertainment was at the Royalton stage. Our first night, we had the buffet for supper. Absolutely no shortage of food or choice. The service was great, and the food was delicious. For the rest of our stay, we were as au natural as possible. The pool, hot tub, beach, bar & grill were within Grand Lido, so there was no need to leave & get dressed. Our bartender Peaches was so attentive that drinks arrived just as the current one was almost empty. Simone, our entertainment girl, was amazing. She organized things for us to do each day. We had body painting, trivia, and a pool foam party that was so much fun, bingo, and just a general good time. She got everyone involved, guests & staff included. Our waiter, Captain Kirk, was great, kept everyone fed, laughing & did a great job of delivering anything you needed. Our cook, Philisha, was the absolute best. She cooked for all of us every day & you had such a big selection of foods to choose from. My husband enjoyed her food so much that he told her she was wife #2 as he couldn't replace me. Her jerk sauce was homemade, delicious & hot. If you are concerned about no clothes, don't be . The staff & other guests will make you feel at ease & comfortable. I highly recommend Grand Lido & and I can't wait to go back next year.

Royal Flush

I normally don’t leave reviews, but this experience was too frustrating not to share. I had an issue with the AC in my room, and after sending three technicians, the third finally admitted it was broken. T...hey said they had a new system and had to switch to the old one — why that wasn’t done before I spent a whole night sweating in Jamaican heat is beyond me. The next morning, I decided I couldn’t stay in that room anymore. I packed all my things and asked to be moved, only to be told they were fully booked and couldn’t move me until the next day — even though I leave Monday. So essentially, I’m stuck. I asked if I would be accommodated in any way, and instead of helping, the front desk staff tried to verify my story with the technician (which they should’ve already known about). The tech confirmed the issue had been ongoing since the night before. So why wasn’t I moved then, when clearly you had rooms? What really got me was the energy of the woman “helping” me — she seemed annoyed, uninterested in offering a solution, and basically shrugged it off with a “let me check with my boss.” Ma’am, you’re wearing a different color shirt than everyone else — you are the boss. You just didn’t want to help. The room itself was raggedy — patched-up holes in the ceiling, uncomfortable bed, no relief from the heat. And they claim to have vegan options and room service said they were out of them. I’m now sitting outside, tired, hot, with sore feet, waiting on a driver to take me to my aunts building. It’s early as hell, and all I wanted was to rest and shower in peace. All in all, I did not feel accommodated, heard, or respected. Do Better.

Not happy.

Not happy with our stay spend over $4,000 arrived on March 19th departed on March 23rd. I did not receive all of our amenities Butler was unable to make reservations at any restaurant for us all of the res...taurants were booked for the whole week that we were there. Mostly ate at the buffet and the one diamond Club restaurant I was not happy with most of the food. Alcohol beverages were good. Activities were good elevators did not work the whole time we were there. We were on a third floor in a Penthouse jacuzzi suite, we had to use the service elevated when it was available or used the stairs for the 4 days that we stayed there. Most of the stuff were polite, pleasant and helpful a few were not. The Butler assigned to us did not come through for us for the money we spent, although I tip the butler the maid and all the Beach staff very well. We did not receive all of our amenities with our package. We found food in the stairwells on a daily basis sometime the same food for several days before someone removed it. A bottle of liquor was not delivered until the third day that we were there and should have been there on the first day. Entertainment was good the beach was beautiful the diamond Club that we pay for was not worth it. I was not happy with my stay. Not worth the $4,000 I paid for a Penthouse jacuzzi suite for the 4 day stay. The best part of the Resort was my son's wedding on March 22nd it was beautiful.

Holiday of a lifetime

Well.. what can I say. I never wanted to return home :( 2 weeks was just not enough! We had a holiday of a lifetime for my Mum’s 70th birthday, travelling with 3 adults and a toddler (18 months) - all th...anks to the amazing staff, entertainment and unbelievable people of Jamaica. Rooms: a mixed bag in all honesty. We upgraded to a swim up room whilst there which was great. We slept great in huge comfy beds every single night - and that’s with a baby! Always cleaned every day with fresh towels and a restocked fridge. The family rooms are in need of repair asap. Food: on the whole exceptional. The buffet was fantastic with so much to offer. The restaurants were easy to book with enough planning (a day ahead). The best were the Japanese, Italian and Steak and our least favourite were the Tex Mex and West Indies. Drinks: excellent selection and staff will make pretty much any cocktail you request. Personal favourite was the Bob Marley multicoloured one which can be made with and without rum. Other: The entertainment team, every single one were incredible; their energy was electric. The shows they put on were incredible and outshone all of the outside entertainment acts brought in. They really made an effort to represent their country with Jamaican themed nights which was fantastic and my favourite. They did not stop from morning until night - the pool entertainment was so much fun with prizes to be won so used to get quite competitive. I took part in aqua aerobics every day - standard holiday etiquette I suppose ha! The coffee shop was amazing and the girls in there worked so hard - it was always busy.. and for good reason too. The lattes, ice creams, shortbreads and sandwiches were out of this world! It was so nice to relax in the breeze in the reception area with a coffee and snack each afternoon. This was a favourite for my toddler. Beach was awesome and always clean. Pool view was as breathtaking and pictures don’t even do it justice. One negative I do have to report on is the doctors call out fee - my little boy fell ill while we were over there and needed antibiotics. For a doctor call out and antibiotics this cost $470 and they wanted it paying in cash which I found unacceptable. Staff who went the extra mile: Mildred the rooms division manager. Mildred and her team were professional, calming and very attentive (an extra mention to Brandon who supported us). Buffet staff who were amazing and helped cheer my little boy Jax were Kristina, Ellen and Crissia. Natasha gave us a warm welcome on check in and throughout our stay and Deandre had the best vibes every time I seen him at reception. Finally, saving the best until last Shantel from the beach bar - you totally made our holiday and my little boy Jax’s. The most wonderful human being you’ll meet and also makes a greatttt cocktail! If you are thinking of booking this holiday please do not hesitate. It was the best 2 weeks ever, you will not regret it.

First time at this royalton in negril Jamaica ,staff was excellent an encouraging shout out to the fitness team and Jovie and the spa and entertainment team as welll good job to all department that make t...he trip possible I will be back soon yah mon!
