Wish I went elsewhere!

First day arrived at 5:30pm and some of our rooms weren’t ready until almost 10pm. This happened to several members from our big group. Food was subpar, not fresh at all at the buffet. Oh yeah room service never came after confirming our order. BTW no compensation to make you feel better.

Horrible, Horrible service and customer service. At breakfast one morning they ran out of cups and didn’t serve us water, 90 minutes later they got the cups and apologized I asked for sparkling water, they came back 30 minutes later and said there was no C02 for the machine so they had none. The beach is super small, but not rocky which is good. The pool is laughable, too small. We went on a tour and even the guide was saying Riu negril has the best beach and is great for families. The only customer service was received was at dinner buffet service when manager, Mr. Keith Campbell took care of us. He provides great service and leadership, why is he not the upper management leadership? Your problems might actually be resolved under his guidance, unfortunately Mr. Campbells amazing customer service is not enough to bring us back. We will never visit Royalton Negril again. Nor will we ever recommend this resort. From long wait times to no drinking glass for water at breakfast (and no compensation for the terrible service). it’s not worth the money. We have 2 days to go and we’re counting down. We salvaged what we could and remained positive - Thank goodness we booked at 2 different resorts. We go to our next resort where we will have a real vacation and never will return to Royalton negril ever again. Room 7201

Definitely a 3* at best!! Few of the staff were polite, welcoming & friendly, although ‘Seriously’ please consider a refresh on customer service. Tourists work damn hard all year for their vacations ‘money doesn’t grow on trees!!! just a little respect would go a long way. Diamond club is not worth the extra money - still had to queue at restaurants when your table was reserved! You’re not getting a much better service with DC for the extra money ‘which is a considerable amount more. *Definitely better hotels in Jamaica - will try Princess Grand next time!! West is best forget the rest ?? x

DO NOT STAY HERE - YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

I was trying to give this place the chance to rectify all the wrongs for my family and I and they have repeatedly made empty promises to look into things and get back to me. It was the worst seven days of any period of my life and believe me, I’ve had some bad moments in life. All we wanted to do was get together as a family and have some fun and allow my nieces to have the best experience in Jamaica. Royalton Negril ruined all of that and I will never stay at their property even if it was offered to me for free. There were eight of us occupying 4 rooms and we were treated so poorly from check in until we checked out. They had damage from the hurricane and could have contacted us and given us the choice to postpone or cancel - they made no attempt. There were no updates on their site, all I could see for up to date information after the hurricane had passed was Tik tok videos of guests. There were some staff members that were absolutely wonderful and I have acknowledged them in my multiple emails to Marriott and Royalton Negril post stay staff - hopefully the staff will be properly acknowledged for understanding the needs of guests and doing what it takes, perhaps management can learn from them. I have also reached out to the parent company blue diamond resorts, I’m not holding my breath. All I can tell you if you still decide to go there, pay close attention to your personal items, people there have no qualms about going into your purse and stealing all your cash. Security and management will do nothing about it. Good luck if you’ve decided to stay here, get cancellation insurance.

Good gym

The gym is good but lack in some aspect of making it a good gym. But the cardio is good and the dumbells are very nice aswel as all the equipment But it would be better if the squat bar and bench press area was easier to use, the staff are very good so shout out ro Alpha, Lindo, Jolie!!
