Great hotel, missed opportunity for Disney Magic
Jennifer W on May 31, 2025
We just returned from our stay at the WDW Swan, and overall, the experience was wonderful. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and comfortable—especially the beds, which were incredibly relaxing after lon...g park days. While the rooms were on the smaller side, they were thoughtfully laid out and very well maintained. The hotel's location couldn’t have been better—convenient and close to the parks, making it easy to come and go throughout the day. For breakfast on our non-park days, Rosa Mexicano quickly became our favorite spot. On park days, Java was a great grab-and-go option, though I do wish they offered a gluten-free breakfast sandwich. We also dined at Il Mulino, the Fountain, and Cabana Bar and Beach Club—all of which delivered great food and excellent service. The only downside to our visit was a missed opportunity for some Disney magic. When my daughter lost a tooth, we reached out to both the concierge and front desk. We were told she had been added to a list, but unfortunately, nothing ever came of it. Not even a small note from Tinkerbell, which we’ve heard is a common gesture at Disney-affiliated properties. A simple acknowledgment would have meant a lot, and it was disappointing to see that moment missed. Still, aside from that one hiccup, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.
Had to move rooms, was promised a credit and did not receive

I really wanted to write a great review for this property. I liked the rooms and liked the location. However, I had an issue with my room where water was leaking up through the floor. I was contacted by ho...tel management while I was in the park during day 3 (of 4) of my stay and was told I had to move my family of five to another set of rooms. So- got back to my room after a great day in the park around 10pm. After repacking my family up and moving to another room at we were re-settled by 11:00pm. I was told I would be credited for the difference of the lesser room and for inconvenience. (I was also told that I would have help moving the room, but when I called down no one answered and my son and I moved us ourselves.) We had one day left in Orlando the park and spent majority of day in the park, getting home late again that night before having to get up early for an early morning flight. My wife and I had quick bit for lunch at the hotel, but otherwise, we were maximizing our last day in the park. I never received the full credit and when I inquired, I was told I had to use the credit in the hotel, instead of crediting my card as I was told the night of my move. So while I really liked the location of the hotel and the rooms are nice, I definitely did not feel valued as a guest.
Excellent Service and Property

The Swan was an excellent choice for location, atmosphere and service. The personnel were extremely welcoming and the accommodations were clean and inviting. We ate at several of the specialty restauran...ts during our stay and enjoyed all of them, but Il Mullino is one you’ll definitely want to try. We will definitely stay here again on a future Disney visit.
Beautiful Hotel - Inconsistent Service
jill387 (Seattle, Washington) on May 14, 2025
The Swan hotel is a beautiful and well-maintained property, and its convenient location near Disney World made it an ideal choice for my trip. My room was mostly comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet an...d restful atmosphere. The only noise issue I experienced was on my last night when I could hear my newly arrived neighbors across the way and their active young children. I also had a great view of the nightly fireworks over at Epcot, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I found the Java cafe a great spot for a quick breakfast, where I was greeted with friendly faces and quick service. However, the positive service largely ended there. The rest of the hotel service was inconsistent. I tried two out of the three restaurants. The hotel restaurants will adequately feed you, but for an exceptional dining experience, I would recommend exploring the many options outside the hotel. Dining reservations are needed for any restaurant you plan to attend in or outside the hotel. I didn't get to try out the pool area; it was blocked off for a convention. It wasn't clear if guests were permitted in the pool area during the convention. I spent most of my time outside of the hotel, so this was not a huge inconvenience for me. Some front desk staff were friendly and helpful, while others appeared to be going through the motions and more interested in their phones or conversations than assisting guests. Other staff members I encountered seemed preoccupied, and in one or two instances, I felt as though they were questioning whether I was a guest. A specific incident that stood out occurred on my last day: After checking my luggage, I had some time before heading to the airport. While sitting in the lobby finishing an ice cream I had purchased at the nearby Dolphin hotel, a staff member walked by and gave me an unsettling glare. Despite the beautiful hotel and enjoyable room, the inconsistent service would make me hesitant to return. There are many other options in the area.
Promises well but does not deliver a deluxe experience
sola123 (Toronto, Canada) on May 10, 2025
The location of these Marriott Swan and Dolphin is perfect for Epcot and Hollywood studios. I used the complementary bus services and boat service over my stay and got to all my destinations easily. For su...re the Swan is the quiet sister, and a perfect location for sola traveler looking not to get swept up by the families and the action at the Dolphin. The room was very clean, and the service friendly. But, in terms of a deluxe resort, they promise well and deliver poorly, which is a bad omen for any place: 1. The "balcony" room had a balcony, but if faced an inner courtyard, which offered 0 privacy, so not worth the extra money. 2. This was a "deluxe" room and there is an additional "resort fee" but the room is very basic, and yes you have access to a pool but that is about it from Marriott. In fact this deluxe room had far less than others for less money. No clock in the room, (I asked at the front desk and on the phone, and was told I would have a clock delivered, but it never arrived). 3.Bath robe but no slippers, none of the usual bathroom extras like Qtips, or cotton balls unless you ask for them. It seems cutting costs in room amenities is the new management way. 4. phone in the room did not work the entire trip, reported each day but nothing done. 5.Pool is self serve for towels, and the bar is open some days but not others, so there is no way to know if and how to order food/drink by the pool. 6. No water, no fountain or water bottles near the pool? Only 6 pool umbrellas so if you need shade it is iffy. No staff attended at the pool for the four days I was there. The only deluxe I see is the price.
