The food is very good and varied. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and with swimming pools available. We have a very good experience. Very good place to go with family and friends. Viva Heavens at Puerto Plata, RD.

I really liked the hotel, the staff is really nice. The pool is really nice and the beach is perfect. I did not like that the hotel was empty, I would’ve preferred more people. I enjoyed with the entertainment team, especially with Isa and Matilde. I had fun with them. Overall I really enjoyed the experience and I am counting the days to come back.

The rooms were very nice and spacious, but the air conditioning did not cool. I complained 3 times and although they confirmed a problem with the air conditioning and I asked to change rooms, they completely ignored me. It should be noted that the hotel was empty or had very few guests. During my stay, therefore, there were many rooms available. The food at the buffet was not very varied and the orange juice was very bad. The food at the à la carte restaurant on the beach and the service of the staff at this restaurant were excellent. The entertainment team was very boring. Personally, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is incredible that I was in another hotel in the same Playa Dorada complex and I changed to this one because it was supposedly better and my experience was the opposite.

I traveled with three other family members to this resort. The food sucked and the cleaning lady didn’t clean my room at all. Thank you to Benedicta, Elisa and Marie for their excellent customer service. Their patience with my family made the experience a little bit better.

The resort it self was clean, fun and worth the money we paid. Pool is kinda small but there was always chairs available. Omar at the bar was great with doing tricks and just always has a smile in his face. Omar did fill our own water bottles with liquor as I seen in another review they did do that on this resort. The down fall is no 24hrs bar or swim up bar but the bar is close enough to the pool. This resort is small and every thing is close by. The beach is about a 5 min walk not even but with a beautiful secured path. The beach was beautiful just wish they had the chairs closer to the water with some umbrellas. So if u have kids it's hard to see them from the chairs although you probably could pull ur chair up but was unsure and you'll also be right in the sun as there is no umbrellas at this resort just plam trees. Night life was ok. Entertainment for the kids was ok too. There is a mall in the plaza 5 minutes up the street off the resort which is safe to walk to. We also booked excursions two through the resort and one with a vendor on the beach. The vendors are on the beach are cheaper than the resort but can be very pushy. We tried two A La Car restaurants they were great make sure you book those as soon as you arrive at the resort as we couldn't try the other one it was already booked all the food pretty much was good specially Mexican night. The only issue I really had staying in this resort was with housekeeping. Restocking of the fridge never really happened, we had 4 people in the room they would give us two bottles of water daily after even requesting 4 , also the only gave us 2 towels so I requested 2 more towels bc there was 4 of us in the room and it took them 5 hours to bring the towels. On the website it says they restock your fridge daily with water soda and beer that is not true and it was very hard to get 4 bottled waters for me and my 3 children daily never even seen beer in the fridge once. Overall I would stay again. I would recommend this Resort for any with a family It's a great for it's price.
