Stuck at Hotel Krystal Puerto Vallarta due to false advertising.

This should not be labeled as a 4-star resort. Worst All-inclusive resort experience ever. Upon arrival I was given a time-share room, booked a Garden View Kingbed! Took over an hour and a half to get ...moved to a new room. After getting into my new room and traveling all day my wife and I took a quick trip to the Marina and returned at about 10:30pm. We didn't eat while we were out because the hotel offers Room Service. With no room service menus to be found in the room I went to the front desk only to find out that Room Service closed at 10:30pm. Very disappointed I went back to my room hungry. Woke up the next morning only to take a cold shower and then attempt to eat breakfast. Went to both breakfast locations only to find the same extremely disappointing food options. After reporting to the front desk regarding not having hot water in my shower they sent someone to my room three hours later. The fix was that I have to run my bathroom sink while I shower to get hot water. Due to being required to wait in my room for the facilities personnel to look at my shower, my wife was unable to eat breakfast. Thought "ok" there's room service. I then called the front desk to ask for a room service menu. I was forwarded to one of the restaurants for them to tell me that they don't have a room service menu. Every photo on the Krystal Puerto Vallarta Resort website is not for this resort but for Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta.

It's an excellent choice, the staff is amazing, the rooms clean, safe area. Good food and good atmosphere, I would definitely stay here again, it is a very nice place, very quiet with a great view, the st...aff did a great job with their attentive and friendly service. Their kind words with which they addressed one will inspire us to continue in the hotel.
Used to be beautiful

We would come here and it was so pretty, well kept and always a great experience. This trip was the absolute worst experience. While they are doing construction to upgrade the premises, the experience was ...awful. All good things must come to end I suppose.
Good experience

Older resort/hotel but happy with our stay for 10 days. Foods okay, rooms are nice, gym is nice mostly cardio equipment, pools not heated but refreshing, very welcoming staff, Construction happening beside... the resort but not very loud usually. Close to lots of things in PV.
Overpriced older hotel with low quality service!

I stayed at this hotel from march 3 to march 13 2025. This is not a 3 ½ star hotel. It is a 2 star at best. It is overpriced. The food is clean and low fat but there was no variety. There was no seafoo...d available. A couple of nights they offered Mexican food, but it was not what I expected. They offered only tacos, tortilla soup and something called “sopes.” There were no tamales, tortas or even guac. The menus in the “specialty – Oriental and Italian” restaurants were the same every day. This all-inclusive hotel doesn’t provide room minifridge. Pina Coladas could be obtained only from the two bars, they have blenders, which are separate from the restaurants. Waiters refused to serve me a Pina Colada at lunch because their manager – Martin Zamora – stated that “everyone in the lunch room would want a Pina Colada then, and they couldn’t have that.” There are no life guards at the beach, which are NOT swimmable. The tide was very strong every day, so I was only able to sit at the seaside and bathe in sand and seawater. My room was not cleaned on the days the lady in charge was on her weekly day off. This happened twice during my stay. The lady was very kind and obliging and I tipped extra every day. The bed linens are not made of cotton but a polyester mix; they looked grayish. The room's air conditioned is centrally controlled and maintained at 25C, which is too warm for this Canadian to fall asleep. Opening the balcony window was not advised for my safety. The safe in my room was old, rusty and did not work, even with fresh batteries. I got tired of asking for a replacement, so I took my valuables with me. There was construction noise around the beach. On the day I was leaving – at mid-afternoon – the reception rep (Lillian) refused me lunch by insisting I gave her back the hotel bracelet. She told me I could pay for lunch separately. She did not care for the room key or towel card, which I returned at my initiative nevertheless. I am a seasoned traveler and this slight had never happened to me before. Hotel staff are usually very nice on the last day, as they try to send you off with a favourable memory of their hotel. The staff at Krystal Vallarta is clearly not trained to offer upper-class service
