Wonderful dining experience

Paradise43366779407 (Albuquerque, New Mexico) on Oct 31, 2024

My wife and I are staying at the PV Hard Rock for 8 days and by far our best dining experience was at Ipamema. Omar, Oscar, Adrian and Natalia took awesome care of us! They kept our plates full and our table clean. We would eat there again and totally intend to for our last meal.

Had a pretty good time but we felt there was problems service

douglasrT564XR on Oct 31, 2024

We have been members of Palace and Legendary for years. We have been to Hard Rock Vallarta at least 9 plus times. Unfortunately, this was not the best time that we have experienced. The hotel had so many Special Events and Weddings that interrupted everything around the pool. Our room was above the Sunbar and the music was so loud every night until 1 am. Ridiculous. Room Service was terrible, Delivery times and quality of food not very good. Food overall has declined in the last 3 years. Drastic decline from 20 years ago. We stayed on the beach VIP section and that was great. Sorry for the bad report, hope Hard Rock Vallarta gets better. We love coming to Puerto Vallarta. However we have other Choices there,

Good food, great service, a few minor inconveniences

Eva B on Oct 28, 2024

We stayed at the Hard Rock Vallarta for 9 nights on a trip to celebrate our 5th anniversary. We chose this resort mainly because they had their restaurant menus online and we could see they had a lot of gluten free options (I have celiac disease) at each restaurant. The food at the restaurants was basically always super yummy and I never got sick there! Everything was labelled at the buffet if it had major allergens and they even had a specific gluten free toaster with the gluten free bread/baked goods in a section far away from the regular bread & baked goods. I did get glutened once with room service (there was a fry mixed in with my tortilla chips, that I had previously had no issues eating, and the fries were listed as containing gluten at the buffet), but other than that I had no problems at all. I really appreciated the care they took and checking about allergies at every meal. Service was always with a smile, but there were definitely some outstanding individuals: - Alex at the beach and the pool was by far the best waiter we had during our whole stay. He would refill/replenish our drinks without us needing to ask, was so friendly and personable, and would always give us fist bumps. - All the staff at Zen, in particular Jazmine, Imelda, and the manager Victor. - All the staff at Frida, in particular Lulú & Cristy. - The hosts, hostesses, and servers at The Market, specifically Stephany (who knew us by name by the end of our stay) & Rafa (who always gave service with a huge smile and positive vibe). Our main goal for our trip was to relax and unwind, after 5 years of dealing with COVID, having a baby (now almost 3), and some family stuff. We definitely succeeded in doing so. There were some things that could be improved upon, in our opinion: - We were told when we checked in that a member of the staff was going to show us where everything was and explain about the resort. This ended up being a ploy to convince us to accept an “invitation” to meet with a resort services staff member for breakfast to learn about their Legendary membership offerings (for *only* $16,000 USD you can buy into the lowest tier of this membership program that gives you discounted rates and other perks). She was literally standing right behind us and blocking our path at the front desk. We really just wanted to go to our room and lay down, after 10 hours of travel to get there, so we agreed to go to the meeting just so we could get our room. They did give us two free massages at the spa for going, but…it was annoying and they pressed us so hard to say yes to multiple offers for the membership. - The room service was only by phone (we had a tablet in our room but we couldn’t figure out any way to add items to the cart to order). Our phone was broken in our room and wouldn’t connect to the front desk or room service, so we couldn’t order any food. We ended up going to concierge to let them know our phone wasn’t working and they were swift about getting maintenance to come fix/replace it. Needing to order by phone also left some opportunity for misunderstanding and my husband had the wrong food delivered because of this. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. - There were days when our room never got around to being cleaned by housekeeping, and our mini fridge was therefore also not restocked. Maybe this was a timing thing and we would put our do not disturb sign out if we were in the room, but there were days when we took it off and were out of the room for 4-5 hours and would come back and the room still hadn’t been done. Again, it wasn’t a huge deal, just a bit annoying. It kind of seemed like if you weren’t ready to have them come at 9AM sharp, you had missed your chance. - There was very loud music every night until 11PM. This wasn’t a big concern for us, as we are in our 30’s, but I couldn’t help thinking about all the guests there with small children. I have no idea how we would have gotten our toddler to sleep had we brought her with us. I do realize it’s the *Hard Rock* so maybe I shouldn’t be too surprised, but I hadn’t stayed at a Hard Rock before and our previous experience at an all-inclusive resort (Secrets, for our honeymoon in 2019) was quite different. There were at least 4 weddings being held at the Hard Rock Vallarta during our stay, so maybe that had something to do with it too. There were lots of other guests with children there, and it was very family friendly, aside from the noise aspect. - It was really difficult to get chairs at the pool. A lot of them are reserved for members of the higher tiers of the Legendary Club, so unless you get to the pool super early, you won’t get a spot. For this reason, we were never able to get a spot and therefore didn’t swim in the pool at all. We therefore went to the beach everyday, which was fine with us, but it would have been nice to do the pool at least once. Overall, it was a good trip, with a few annoying, minor inconveniences. The food was really good (restaurants were better than buffet), the service was great, and we enjoyed ourselves. We would 100% go back to Puerto Vallarta/Nuevo Vallarta. Would we go back to the Hard Rock? Maybe? If it was our only option and we weren’t bringing our daughter.

Back to Vallarta

carolrZ5893LR (Amsterdam, New York) on Oct 26, 2024

My husband and I recently returned from Vallarta. Although the experience was good, there were a couple of problems I would like to address. The first being the room assigned to us. We are couple in our 70s whoo have been members over 13 years and my husband cannot walk as good as he once did, that's why we chose Vallarta. Our room assigned was 14 doors to the elevator. I immediately asked for a room closer. Sylvia. resort services attended to this request. Although it was the next day with repeated delays, we had to repack and move. Also, I have been a vip member and the 1st room was the worse I have been in and the legendary rep said you get what you pay for, which was not very nice,. He also sidestepped my repeated questions about VIP status and gave me incorrect info.Days later, I made an appointment to discuss my contract and Denny Diaz took took the time to sit with me. The workers I would like to mention are Chompi,Tacuba, Oscar Cornoa, Jose Luis from Ciao, Adela, Rafael from Market breakfast.Adrian from Splash Bar ,Heributo and Zamara from the Spa, and Jesus and Vaca, Angel bellboys. the aforementioned workers were very nice and attentive. In closing, I must e say this vacation was not as pleasant as my previous times here.

Terrible

Passenger27288746930 on Oct 26, 2024

Terrible room service. We have been waiting 3hrs for our dinner and they still cant give us an estimated time for delivery. They're just saying they are saturated (they wont even say sorry) and of course they are saturated because the hotel is full and they only have 2 restaurants open. We basically only had the option to order from room service, but still no dinner! Additionally, our room had a huge roof leak, they took forever to "fix it", we couldnt sleep because of the dripping noise. Never coming back here again. Avoid this hotel!!!
