Much better hotels to stay at

I came to this hotel about 2 years ago and since then it was really took a turn for the worst. Where do I start, We were not given the room we paid for , all outlets in our room did not work , our key to our room stopped working , took one hour for someone to help. The worst of it all is the reservation services. They have no reservations available to eat. We paid all this money to have to eat at a buffet the whole time we were there. When reaching out about this the guest services suggest that we go to premium dinners that will cost us even more. This is an all inclusive .. we should be able to go to the restaurants we want especially after paying 3000$ to be here. I will never spend another penny on this hotel. Go somewhere worth your money!

We were a family of 5 and all got sick and still when we got home. Was not really impressed with the rooms but resort staff were wonderful!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana

We spent 11 days at the Bavaro side of the resort. We are travel club members and took several people with us from the US. Stayed in a suite at building 19. We had three rooms. The butler Maritza was tremendous. Anything we needed she assisted. The travel club carts supervisor Ovandy was sensational. When he was not there he had one of his staff assist (Christopher) and was always on top of picking us up when needed. Great personality. Always hear the noise of (unhappy customers) online but some people I feel nit pick a lot of things. Remember it is in another country! If you keep that in mind you will enjoy every minute as we did.

Not great

We just stayed at this hotel for a week and I gave it two stars because the place is beautiful, our room was spacious and clean and Bavaro Beach is absolutely stunning. Also the beach bar El Capitán was great with friendly staff, all of them, a special thank you to Lilliam who went above and beyond! But that’s where it ends… we arrived at night and right after checking in we were greeted by someone who introduced himself as a concierge and said he would pick us up the next morning to take us to breakfast and a tour of the hotel (which is huge). We asked why and he said it was because we booked a suite. The next day he picked us up to take us to breakfast but instead took us to an office to hear a sales pitch from travel club so we could, among other things, learn how to book directly with the hotel instead of using a travel agent. We booked on the hotel website but according to them it redirects you to an agency so we did not in fact book directly. It was all so sketchy and misleading. We are native Spanish speakers so there was no language barrier. We made it clear we were not interested and went to breakfast. They kept insisting for the next 5 days. Very pushy. There was no information given by the hotel about anything. The food was really bad. Terrible quality, flies on the fruit, mayonnaise sitting on the heat for who knows how long. We had a reservation for the Mexican restaurant and when we got there, some time before our reservation, we were told they were out of tables. We waited and ended up leaving. Why take reservations if they don’t know how many tables they can book? Everything that has to do with food was very disorganized. Room service is not included from 11pm to 11 am. You have to pay to order breakfast. We used room service a few times and they never sent more than one set of cutlery even when told there were four people in the room. We tried to get help with our luggage when checking out but every time we called we were put on hold and never got to talk to anyone. We got no help. I would not go back to this hotel nor would I recommend it. Again, Bavaro Beach is amazing and there are so many hotels there you’ll have a better experience elsewhere. (As a side note, our flight got delayed to the next day and the airline sent us to Dreams Ónix for a night so while we didn’t spend time using the hotel facilities, the food was very good, the room clean and comfortable and the service was great, a little far from the airport but definitely worth considering).
