We stayed at Sandos Playacar April 30 - May 6 and it was amazing. We were there for our wedding and had 70 guests for the big day including kids and babies. Everyone told me how beautiful the resort was. T...he resort is gorgeous. It's massive, at first we got lost often, but it didn't take long to learn our way around. We stayed in the ocean club and had guests in adults section and family section. The rooms were well air conditioned and very clean, however some rooms could use a bit of updating but nothing that hindered our experience. One guest mentioned the AC leaked one night but maintenance fixed it right away. I believe the resort might shut water off in some areas during the night as we heard from a few guests they would be without water a couple hours late in the night. We ate at the main breakfast buffet daily, and it was always delicious! The dinner buffets were always fantastic as well, something for everyone. I got to try 3 ala carte restaurants, Asiana, Gourmex (mexican), and La Gourmet (french). My favorite of the 3, by far, was Gourmex (mexican), the others I thought were just okay. I heard the Italian was delicious from some of our guests, but didn't get a chance to try it myself. For lunch we would usually eat at Ocean Snack, and found it good as well. I highly recommend Chayita, mexican snacks, the tacos and burritos were fantastic! We went to the nightly shows every night, except for the wedding night, and they were great! My favorites were the 80s and Elvis Presley tribute. After the show we went to the sports bar, everyone enjoyed playing pool and taking turns on the swings, there were lots of places to sit and hang out there too. The bartenders there were amazing every night. Alot of our group would also go to the disco, and had so much fun dancing! The beach is absolutely stunning! There was seagrassum a couple days, nothing crazy, it didn't stop us from going in the water. The last two days the water was less wavy and crystal clear. The pools were great! We used the pool in the 900s section, the swim up bar was awesome. The main pool near the beach was also tones of fun. On the last day however, at the main pool, they only had one bartender so the swim up bar was closed, and they ran out of ice twice! But the bartender was still doing great! Our wedding was the highlight of the trip. It was amazing, and they did an incredible job. Our wedding coordinator, Frida, and all the staff perfectly executed my vision, it was everything I wanted it to be. We had the carribean buffet for dinner and it was amazing. We had our ceremony on the beach and cocktail hour/reception in the garden and both were stunning. The DJ was amazing and had everyone on the dance floor the whole night. The bartenders and serving staff had their work cut out for them, but did and amazing job. During our walk through with our wedding coordinator, prior to the big day, Frida mentioned that there is a cartoonist that does caricatures, and asked if we would like him to come to Cocktail hour and reception, and we are so glad he did. His name is ANDY GOHAN and he was amazing, his drawings were so fun, everyone raved over him! Highly recommend asking about him for your big day. The morning after our wedding we were served breakfast in bed which was fantastic! It was the best vacation we have ever had, and we want to thank Sandos Playacar, for making our dream wedding vacation a reality.

Sherylyn gave excelent service while we visited Blue Moon Bar. She was attentive to our drinks, pleasant to visit with, and gave us an excellent reception all the days we were there. Gracias Sherylyn....h...asta la próxima!! Los Escamilla's

He was very knowled...geable and had a great talent for making a great mix of drinks. I will be forever grateful for his talent

Visit Arael at the Sports Bar! He makes the best drinks! Abril was so much fun with her activities at the pool too! Staff is very attentive and so nice. Food is great, you have to go see Roger at the Taco... Bar, but don't believe him when he says it's not spicy! Haha

The sports bar always kept our drinks full and remembered who we were everyday. Best service we received all week. Place was always clean and organized. You could see the pride they take in their bar. Grea...t job Julio and Arael!!! Sandos needs to recognize these 2 for their hard work
