The hotel is a cozy retreat after an exhausting day of fun in San Francisco. Front desk, room services and restaurant are all top notch. Thank you to Zahida at the excursion desk for your extensive knowledge and patience with us. You made our trip super fun by convincing us that the bus tours were definitely worthwhile. They were. Nicely situated within the Fishermen’s Wharf complex. After a very long flight we appreciated our room being ready three hours ahead of check-in. Hotel was well appointed including the gym. Standard but comfortable room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Blue mermaid restaurant was, in our view, one of the better eateries in the area and reasonably priced. We dined there more than once. Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The Argonaut is in an historic building which is an old industrial building with lots of lovely features. It has a maritime themed decor which is appropriate for Fisherman’s Wharf. It was cosy and charming. We had a city view room on the second floor which looked out onto the outside dining area of the restaurant. The room was very large with a huge bed and cosy furniture. Lots of lighting options and a shuttered window which opened. Full mini bar available. We arrived at 9pm and the restaurant closes at 9pm which didn’t bother us but it would have been nice to have had complimentary water bottles in our room instead of a charge for water. The coffee machine was good and I had extra coffee brought to the room as I ran out of decaf. Staff on reception are very friendly and helpful. We loved the location as we hadn’t stayed on Fisherman’s wharf and there were lots of fun activities nearby. It was easy to walk or get transport to other areas. We had breakfast in the restaurant twice which was nice with efficient service. We were given some vouchers for coffee to go and also a glass of house wine each. Overall a very good stay and a great base for exploring the city!

1.Great and friendly personnel service. 2. The room size was adequate. 3. Pillows were not comfortable, I wish they were foam and not feathers. 4.The air conditioner had a leak which disturbed a restful sleep, called the next morning and got prompt service, it was fixed while we were gone. 5. Because we were celebrating an anniversary and birthday, there was a special surprise of a bottle of wine to honor us, very thoughtful. 6. The wait staff was not always attentive and service to be seated was somewhat slow. 7.We enjoyed our stay tremendously, and Lilly from housekeeping was outstanding, beds made, towels changed, and our needs were addressed.8. The location was perfect for us and close to the things we wanted to visit. We would highly recommend this hotel to friends.

Stayed here for four nights in early July 24 to celebrate my son's birthday and 4th July. Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to explore - lots of shops ranging from 'touristy' to decent goods. There are also some excellent restaurants such as Fog Harbor. The hotel was in a great central location and you could walk to many places from here - we walked to the Golden Gate Bridge (a little over 3.5 miles) which was tough going as it was a hot day - but a lovely walk nonetheless. The rooms are comfy and spacious. Facilities like the bar and fitness room are pretty good too. Food and drink prices are a bit on the high side but it's decent quality. All in all a very good stay.
