Nasty Staff on resort

Traveled with my 10 yo, my husband and our moms. The resort was good and we were there a time when we never had to wait to be seated to eat dinner. However, the staff is some of the most unfriendly people ever! Elaine by the pool is downright nasty! She made the first 5 days terrible and she should be fired! We even tipped her which still never made a smile on her face. Maxine was amazing our last day! I can truly say on the resort this was NOT the friendliest place. Many of the waitresses at the buffet were not nice at all. Seems to be said in a lot of the reviews so I hope management evaluates their staff because this I not a resort I would stay at again!

We stayed at the Sonesta during the slow season in June, so it was not crowded at all, which was nice. For the price we paid, it was a great value. I would have expected less than what we got. We booked at the last minute and did not have a lot of choices, but I was very pleased. The resort was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. The food was good and the drinks were delicious! The drink part was very important to me:) The resort was on the smaller side, which is very common on the island. I would definitely recommend the Sonesta. We vacation a lot and this was a great experience. If you are a little snooty and looking for the Four Seasons, then you should spend the money and go there. I hate when I see reviews that expect the world but do not want to pay the price.
