We just returned from a week at the Alamada. The staff were great! The food not so much. No need to book an el la carte restaurant as it was the same food as the buffet. I will not eat pasta for a while as... that was the most available. The beach is very nice with little seaweed. We changed $60.00 CND. to Cuban Peso's to tip. That was a waste of time, they don't want their own money. They prefer U.S. or Cnd. dollars, don't bring loonies or toonies as the can't cash them in the banks. For a quick one week vacation, it was a good deal. Oh the showers might need you to put the pressure on Cold as it will be hot and hot is cold? Not complicated and you will receive a great hot shower. Very windy and a light jacket works well. Feed the cats!

Just got back from a week at Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda or should I say Paradise! It was absolutely amazing! This was my first visit to this resort and I will now become a repeat guest every year. The ...staff was absolutely amazing, from the front desk, to the buffet, to the gardeners. Davide the manager is super friendly and checks in to ensure your happy as well. However, it is the animators/entertainers that are amazing. Yesika aka "Chocolate Girl" has the best energy and always has a smile on her face. The nights she worked at the night club were the absolute best! Teaching us dances and getting us up and moving. Her energy cannot be beat! DO NOT miss the Infinity Magic Show!!!! This magic show is mind blowing. The group of young men are super talented and it's like nothing you have ever seen before! All the shows at night whether on the terrace or the theatre were great! Alot of talent at this resort! The food was the best I've had in Varadero and there was always something to eat. You will not go hungry at this resort! We brought snack from home and didn't even end up eating them. The resort is super well kept and clean. My room was super clean and well kept. We had no issues in our room, we had hot water everyday, the AC worked super well, there was nothing to complain about! Our balcony door was a little finicky but nothing to complain about! Playa Alameda I will be back!

Had an amazing stay at Iberostar Playa Alameda! The Staff is very friendly and welcoming, especially Yesika the chocolate girl! Entertainment team was fantastic,the Food was great and fresh. The room was ...spacious and everything worked.

I visited Iberostar Origin Playa Almeda from the 15th to the 22nd of March 2025. I enjoyed the hotel for several reasons. The fact that it was not a huge hotel, so walking around was easy and fast no matte...r where you wanted to go, beach, lobby, buffet etc. All the staff were great, from the bartenders, waiters, gardners, and maids, I would like to give a shout out to the entertainement team! 5 stars I had so much fun with Jessica, Uni, Christian, and formost Keyler! I love to participate in all the activities at the pool or at the beach and I felt like part of the team! Thank you for your attentions and smiles that made our vacation really great! Incredible staff, they make you feel just like part of the family. Tony and Jessica community manager are the absolute best. The entertainment team are fabulous and the spa/hair salon staff are so sweet. ...The beach is beautiful. The resort is so clean and kept up so well. The food is also amazing, no shortages.
