Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredible and the staff was outstanding! The atmosphere at Valentin Imperial is so relaxing and elegant. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us fee...l welcomed from the second we stepped onto the property until the moment we left. Would absolutely recommend this resort!

Cheap Caribbean rated this resort 5 stars, it is NOT! I've stayed at Iberostar Paraiso Joia (formerly Grande) numerous times and the 2 can't compare. The scented lobby is overpowering, if you have sensitiv...ity to smells be aware, it is TOO STRONG! Wi-fi is spotty throughout the resort. The 3 rows of "non-prive" loungers with palapas on the beach have a large fenced in area behind them with construction going on. There were periods of loud hammering, motorized saws & heavy equipment behind us. Not the relaxing vibe we wanted! We enjoyed the breakfast & lunch buffets (wished there was a dinner buffet option). The coffee shop was great, and service there was impeccable. (There should be a QR code posted outside of the coffee shop, to allow those in line to check out the menu before stepping inside). The liquor assortment wasn't top-notch, although there were some good selections. Bars had no option for drinks made with real fruit juices rather than mixes. We tried the Rose wine one night and it was truly undrinkable. The staff works hard, scenery is lovely, the rooms are very nice. The gym is too small. Seemed like many guests here just wanted to get "hammered" drunk in the pool. I would never return, we wanted to try something different after so many visits to Iberostar Paraiso Joia, but this resort didn't meet expectations at all considering the 5 star rating.

Yonathan is my new best friend. He’s great you must eat at la hacienda it’s the best out of all the restaurants on the resort. The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the bathrooms smell delightful, t...he service is even better! Eat here!!!

This was our first all inclusive resort experience and it was fantastic! The place, vibe, food and staff were all top notch. We particularly enjoyed the varied food options and the chef’s table experience.... The resort is maintained very well and the suite was spic and span. Would highly recommend Valentin and will definitely consider going back there. We also heard from multiple repeat guests that they have tried other resorts but keep coming back here.

Our second visit in three years, we booked a Golden Pool swim up suite. It was a wonderful experience, very easy to get used to! The site was large and well maintained, and we had bar and grill service f...rom our patio. We are not big pool endless activity folks, so a perfect setup. The restaurants were all lovely, and had outside dinners five of seven nights. The French (Alsace) was lovely with excellent food, especially Foix Gras! We were pleasantly surprised by an operating cigar and hookah lounge, many other Mexican hotels have dropped this feature. The coffee shop was lovely, with good options. We really like both the Plaza and the lobby bar as airy seating venues.
