We never go back to the same resort but will reconsider for Valentin. Service was excellent! Stuff is working hard to keep everything clean and all guests satisfied. Food and drinks are very good and the...re’s a great selection. House wine is very decent. We didn’t have to wait long to get seated in a restaurants even though the resort was 95% full. The grounds are beautiful and huge! We like walking and a great bonus was to have 10K steps in every day. Really liked the fact that there’re a lot of wild/ natural spots not just trimmed bushes and perfect lawns. Lots of room on the beach. Not so much around the pool. The “leave the towel and go away for 3 hours” game is very present unfortunately. Some weed on the beach but yeah not the resorts fault. They try to keep it clean. There is some construction going on around the beach area. Not too loud but could go without it. Could also use a washroom somewhere more close to the beach. We had a basic room that was very spacious and nice. Could be refreshed a bit. The lobby and the other buildings around are built with taste and style. Everything in the shop is times 3 normal price. Make sure you have enough of sunscreen. Mostly couples. Not too many party people. So it seems very quiet. Would be also amazing not to pay that much for the trip in general. But the prices are crazy everywhere now.

This resort is absolutely beautiful and impeccably clean. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and hardworking, making our stay even more enjoyable. There’s a great variety of delicious and diverse ...food options to choose from. The rooms are spotless and well-kept, and the pools and amenities are stunning. Highly recommended! We enjoyed the serenity of the Golden area and friendliness of all the staff we interacted with. The resort was very clean and had wide walkways that were easy to navigate even with the golf cart traffic. ...The Cafe’ Sisal was a favorite! Everyone took the time to make us feel special and nothing seemed rushed. We will definitely return in the future!

This review is short and concise: Our first visit - normally a Secrets/Excellence Resort user. Ratings out of 10 Check in = 9/10, pretty smooth, no up sell, you get a number and wait a couple of mins wi...th a cool drink Grounds: 9/10, clean and well maintained Room: 10/10, room 2310, Silver, super clean, maintained each day, and cleaned before 1400 hrs each day (other resorts could learn from this). Beautiful modern room. Pool: 9/10, main pool was as expected, smaller quiet pool was perfect Beach: 5/10, not a resort issue, weed is weed and is not going away, we had red flags each day so no swimming. (if a clear quiet weed free beach is what you require - go to the islands) Service/Staff: 10/10, accommodating and efficient, no issues Food: 10/10, excellent restaurants, great presentation and taste (offer pagers for all restaurants, currently not all have them). You may be required to wait an hour for a table. Coffee shop was fantastic. Drinks: 9/10, they seem to utilize top shelf Spa/Gym: 5/10 is for the gym, this area needs some love, small and pretty much an after thought. I would suggest a wellness area, dedicated Yoga area, maybe get rid of the silver shop and add a wellness/spa shop selling yoga clothes/wellness items etc. Entertainment: N/A, did not go, the main plaza did have several bands that we enjoyed. Once again, this resort has impressed us as this is my 10th stay and my husbands 8th. This time we travelled with our son and his wife. As usual we were treated royally by all the staff we encountered and... we always look for our favourites. Edgar, Angel, Yolanda, Bernardino, Vianny, Armando, Neomi, Jose Luis, Albino, Oscar, Mildre, Miguel, Esther Lorenzo and so many others that make our trip so special. The staff are why we return every year. My son and his wife are vegan and Neomi and Jesus at La Marche ( we loved the renovations) orchestrated some fantasic vegan dishes all week. Neomi is such an amazing person with her knowledge service and attention to their needs. I cannot express enough our satisfaction. She is truly an asset to the VIM. The food continues to be wonderful and service immpecable. But we must note that staff seem over run at times, and as all restuarants at prime time, service gets slower . Anejo Tequila was plentiful and beer was nice and cold. Snacks and food always available. You want for nothing here at the VIM and we were so spoiled all week. Now we are dreaming of another return and our son and his wife have the travel bug LOL This was their first all inclusive vacation . We would definitely return again and being so familiar with everything it feels like home now.
