Awesome Hotel

Louise B on Jul 20, 2024

This hotel is fantastic , right on the beach massive swimming pools , very clean and realy good waiter service around the pools , the choice of al a carte restaurants is awesome we ate a Brazilian steak house Tortuga which was brilliant, Kat tok steak on the beach Hindu Thali Indian, Portafino Italian ,and Japanese aswell as the buffet restaurants of which you had a choice of in the other hotels on the complex - book before you travel as they can get booked up quickly Entertainment wise was great always plenty going on throughout the day a big shout out to Cesar,Gretel,Daniel, Jahtasie & jesus they helped make our holiday 5* for them all Evening shows were great too however they were repeated our second week which was a little disappointing however we still enjoyed knocking back the cocktails & Tequilas with great company The rooms were very spacious and spotless clean , all staff including gardeners and trolly drivers stopped to say hello , good morning can we help you with anything nothing was any trouble ?? We found our Tui excursions a little pricey however you can also book with gust services we done the Jungle Buggy 3hrs fantastic, and also a adults only catamaran 4 hr trip good value for money plenty of Tequila ?? There's also the Hacienda shopping area which is open throughout the day & evening to shop for gifts with no need to travel down 5th avenue which we found convenient We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be returning soon.

Great vacation

RealMadrid1972 on Jul 19, 2024

We stayed at this resort recently,11 nights. The pools and the beach are great, food and drinks are very good. Everybody is doing a great job to please the tourists. Service is fast and of good quality. Special thanks to Marco and Luis at front desk. We decided to upgrade our rooms, Marco addressed the issue and then Luis took over. Luis made all the arrangements, solved the issue quickly. Gracias , Luisito ! If you are a little picky about the rooms(like us) you will find them kind of dated (the standard ones). We payed extra for renovated rooms. There is a huge difference. We noticed that at Bahia Principe Tulum most of the buildings are white (renovated rooms) . At Akumal there are only a few white buildings. Anyway, we loved the resort, had a great time. The shows are awesome, too. A big GRACIAS from us to everybody who works at this resort. Marcel and family from Canada

Great experience

Taralara82 on Jul 16, 2024

Travelled as 2 units. My husband and myself, his sister and her family of 6. When we arrived my husband and I were upgraded to adult only-which suited us. Yes the villa location is further out however we like a stroll (yes even in hot mexican sun), also trolley stopped right outside so no drama there. We always managed to get sunbeds together even as a large party of 8. Sunbed service was a bit hit and miss but bars were never too far to walk just being lazy Some parts of the sea are easily accessible less water shoes but I am glad I took on recommendation and took our own. Snorkeling was good. I like a massage on holiday but did find them pricey here and the ladies wouldn't really budge on price so cannot comment on the service. I am a celiac traveller and choose this location from reviews, yes the chef does walk around and yes they will make fresh food but sometimes I like to be able to freely choose so allergen labels would be helpful (and yes I am aware of cc risk). We stayed here during storm Beryl and the hotel had such control and great management it didn't affect our stay. Great location for trips etc. We tipped in both US and pesos- large or small service was great. Good to use the other hotels, I guess the downside is not enough control on the other hotels using the facilities that shouldn't have been. But hey I'm not the wristband police and if they can access better facilities for a lesser price goodluck to them. Yes smoking is highly restricted however mu husband and I are smokers and yes we may have done it not in one of the very few areas but we was always mindful of our/who surrounded us and was always by a bin which was already being used as an ashtray. Very helpful at the front desk to break money into smaller denominations. Hacienda was good to break the pool/beach cycle. There were some shows to pay for but the cost was very low. Unfortunately we never experienced a foam party wrong pool wrong time. The wildlife is amazing except the fiesty Racoons not so sure about them bandits. Staff were great, checkin/out super easy. As a whole we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday ages 11 through to 50

Fantastic 2 weeks

Pino S (Ravenshead, United Kingdom) on Jul 14, 2024

The staff absolutely make this hotel. They are outstanding. We stayed during the recent hurricane and cannot thank them enough for how they managed the situation. Outside of this, food excellent. This was made even better by the fact you can enjoy her hotel restaurants locally. Rooms could do with upgrade but were always clean. Entertainment staff excellent as were the TUI team who all supported our stay so well. Would love to return very much enjoyed our stay Only one complaint - not enough sun umbrellas. Really became a problem When the sun was so hot. Solve this and this hotel is up there with my favourites
