Amazing service outstanding views We love this resort great restaurants easy to get around the properties Beautiful hacienda rooms , infinity pool is gorgeous and their beach area is great for swimming Service and all is 7 stars not 5 ………..

I have stayed at this hotel several times since 2019. Currently a gold member which honestly is worthless. You are supposed to get an early check in which is a lie. It means absolutely nothing. The service continues to go down on every visit. Hotel staff when we brought certain issues up did not care and just blew us off. Had a issue with a server named Jorge in Akumal buffet who was very disrespectful and extremely rude. Brought it to the attention of a supervisor and was told to go eat and you will be fine. Did not care at all. There were some nice staff, not all bad. But the lazy ones really stood out. Called twice for help with luggage and no one showed up after waiting 30 minutes. Took luggage down three flights of stairs to lobby myself. This will be my last trip to any Bahia resort. The high pressure pushing their premier club got old and nonstop. They want to upcharge on shows that should be included. Uncharged on food that should be included. Really turned off on this trip. View from room was nice, but service was horrible.
Akumal Triple Birthday Bash.

After experiencing a fantastic holiday at the Bahia Principe Tenerife we decided to book 10 days at the Bahia Principe Akumal for our big triple family birthday week. We have 3 birthdays between 2nd - 7th December, one being 60 and 30 & 31. We contacted customer services from the UK to ask if they could organise some small surprise(s) to mark the occasions. We must say they came up trumps and also assisted with altering our restaurant bookings where availability allowed. A special mention to Ahorim, Eddy & Gabriel for being there when needed. We loved 99% of all the resort, the hard working staff and food quality ( especially the al la carte restaurants). The reason for the minus 1% is as follows: Weak and poor tasting coffee at mealtimes (particularly breakfast) Pillows were not of a great standard and sometimes having to battle with the bar staff about dark/ spiced rum availability for cocktails.

This place is amazing, from arrival to leaving my visit was superb, what can I say, the whole place is spotless and the food and drink were excellent, I travelled as a solo traveller and met some amazing people, I would highly recommend this hotel to all,
Musty rooms and mold!

Overall the resort is very nice, restaurants were awesome and buffet was typical with what you usually get at an all inclusive. Staff were great….the only issue that I have to say were the rooms. They very musty smelling and outdated. We were several couples staying in blocks, 68,69,70 and 71 and everyone complained of the moldy odours. We had one couple who stated that they found mold in between their mattress and box spring ( yuk ) and other friend who is allergic to mold was stuffed up all week. Don’t mean to overly complain but need to state that the rooms, in my opinion, require a severe refresh…. Other than that, all was good!
