My last day here and I wanted to let you all know if you’ve been worried about the Selection side let me put your fears to rest. It is absolutely wonderful here. The rooms are perfectly fine and the beds ...and pillows are comfortable. We are on first floor with ocean view and balcony and still a perfect view. The place is gorgeous and the beach is beautiful. There is sargassum here but it doesn’t stop the ocean from being lovely to look at here. There are strong waves and red flags so you can only venture in a little bit but at least you can. The picture I’ve seen further south the ocean isn’t even pretty right now as the sargassum is horrible. Maybe the stronger waves here keep the ocean more beautiful. The food is amazing! I’ve seen many reviews that the food isn’t great but I can’t imagine why. We ate mostly at the buffet and loved it, also at the Italian restaurant which was delicious. We were thrilled with the selection at the buffet. So much choice there’s no way you couldn’t find something you like! It was easiest for all of us to find something we wanted there, which is why we chose the buffet most of the time. The entertainment staff has activities throughout the day, yoga, water aerobics, cornhole, volleyball to name a few. There is entertainment each evening with singers, we even had a casino night which was very fun. We didn’t do the later entertainment much so can’t speak to that. Though they did have it (magic show one night) and nightly dancing around 10:30 as well. The staff work very hard and are so nice. There is plenty of space in the pools, and it was not inundated with kids while we were here. One thing to note is people claim chairs by 7 at the pool to get shade so if you want that get there early. We did go by bus to the ferry to the isla mejures and didn’t love it like I thought I would. It was so hot and we had to carry our stuff around to get to the beach. It was a lovely beach but roped off a very small area and then it was a drop with seaweed. If you go take cash as few took credit cards. We didn’t take enough with us and regretted it. Also the vendors really try to get you in their stores so be prepared for that as well. We didn’t take a golf cart around as it was so crowded we only went to the beach and shopped and then were ready to get back here. If you are wanting to book here don’t worry just come and enjoy!

Golf Trip with friend: I’ll be brief. Rooms condition, cleanliness, and decor=10/10 (housekeeping for room 2006 was on point) Rooms AC basically stick around 74 ish degrees at best. It’s a bit hot when ...you’re hammered. We had a room on 2nd floor initially near an outside bar and music permeated the room past 930 pm. I heard bass until after midnight but from another source. I’m the princess and the pea sleeper so even with my headphones I could hear the bass but I know it’s mostly me. We eventually upgraded to a villa (2006#) and it was quiet as a church at all times. Food=10/10 we only did buffet bc we were tired and drunk from golf but it was great Service=15/10 Great people and we didn’t want for anything while there. Front desk absolutely nailed it while meeting me halfway on a deal for the upgrade due to noise. Phenomenal interaction and disposition. Grounds: immaculate. Beach: immaculate Golf Course/Club House= ABSOLUTELY PHENOMINAL. Best and most fun I’ve played on. Eating steak sandwiches, drinking beer, shanking balls, not caring was fun. In summary: I’ll be back once a year and can’t wait. I’ve stayed at many all inclusive resorts in the area and for a golf trip it’s perfect. ONLY complaint: they don’t take USD or exchange which I’ve never encountered but I get it and no problem. Thing is the ONLY atm gives USD. Make it make sense! Hey administration: cool idea, get an atm for MXD! Oh also the Habanero sauce at the food truck is like liquid gold. Bring pepto tho…

The staff was great, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The room temperature was too hot. I had maintenance at my room twice to try to do something about the room temperature. I was told that my roo...m temperature wasn't going to go any lower. We were with a group of 84 people for a wedding. A great number of people complained about the room temperature too. Some people were moved to other rooms. The lights in our room kept turning off and on by themselves. There wasn't even a clock in our room, and there weren't enough outlets. The shower temperature kept fluctuating from every hot to very cold. Our maid kept forgetting to leave clean wash cloths, so we had to call room service several times. The food and drinks were great, but l wouldn't stay there again, nor would l recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had an amazing holiday at Iberostar Selection and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation. We were a group of three girls, and from the moment we arrived, we w...ere warmly welcomed by the wonderful team. The service throughout our stay was truly exceptional. The staff are a real asset to the resort—they work incredibly hard, are always courteous, and go out of their way to help with anything we needed. Their genuine kindness and professionalism made the experience feel like a little slice of paradise. The food was another highlight—there was always a great selection, and we couldn’t resist trying the new varieties offered every day. There’s so much to do at the resort, we couldn’t fit it all in! Our only wish is that we had stayed longer to enjoy even more of what it had to offer.

We absolutely love iberostar selection cancun, we have been here 4 times and just had our wedding and honeymoon here, the service, food, amenities etc. all perfect the staff is incredible and kitchen chefs... Daniel, Gabriel, and Jacinto were phenomenal! We love all the staff here at iberostar selection cancun!!
