Enjoyed our second stay

This was our second time staying at the hotel and really enjoyed our experience again. The hotel staff is always friendly and very helpful in finding your way around. The breakfast buffet is remarkable. And, our room with the king bed was clean and comfy. The only downside was you could not open the balcony doors due to a safety concern. Hopefully they will get that worked out soon. Always enjoyed ending our evening at the bar by the beach/pool. Love the tiki drinks! We will definitely be back.

On December 20, 2024, my wife and I decided to visit the Moana Surfrider on Kalakaua Avenue around 1:30 pm to have lunch. As we ascended the steps to cross into the hotel, a valet driving an SUV almost ran us over as we started to cross. If we hadn't stopped he would have hit us. No apology, just a strange stare. I'm sure he saw us but seemed to be in such a hurry to collect his tip that he didn't care what would happen to us. We went into the hotel but decided not have lunch and as we left, we saw the valet driver who stared at us and again, made not effort to apologize. If this is the type of people you have on staff, I will not stay or recommend your property to visit.
