Disastrous. Zero value for money, no utensils, ect and nothing to meet the Hyatt standards. This is just about a 3 star.

During September, NYC is overwhelmed with foreign dignitaries and their protective police. Everything seems outrageously expensive! In addition, there is traffic everywhere, roads are blocked, the sidewalks are crowded and the area around Grand Central is no exception. This is not a fun time to be in NYC, in addition when you are there for business and it is hard to get a taxi and move around the city, the least you can expect is decent customer service, especially when you are paying high hotel and food prices. The Market at the Grand Hyatt is not where you want to go to get food quickly! Not only will you not get it quickly, they will charge you outrageous fees and then they will offer your food with a scowl. Unfortunate but true. The hotel lobby is beautiful, the restaurant has great service and fresh food but the Market has some serious issues. Also be aware, there is no laundry service provided by the hotel, so you can to contract with a separate third party service and pay just as outrageous the fees. I will not stay here again or recommend this hotel. I do enjoy Hyatt but not this location.

I would recommend staying here because of location, the room size is lovely compared to the other hotels in NYC I’ve stayed at, and it was very clean!

I know location is important but with amount paid, I would have expected complimentary breakfast, a microwave/coffee machine in the room. Great location tho. Walking distance from many attractions.

Had a 5 day visit to New York for my daughter’s 21st birthday. We had a fabulous time. New York lived up to our expectations. The weather in September was perfect - warm and dry. We stayed at the Hyatt Grand Central which is right next to Grand Central Station. The hotel was excellent and you are on the doorstep of the subway (which is dead easy to navigate). The hotel was clean. The staff very efficient. Our king size room was perfect. We had a lovely comfy bed. Over 4 full days we didn’t stop. Our days were packed with visits / experiences. We saw Chicago on Broadway and visited Ellen’s Stardust Diner to carry on the vibe. We had a super time. New York is highly recommended. Book your trips/visits in the UK - it’s cheaper. The Hyatt Grand Central is highly recommended!
