Francis at the Privilege Restaurant was the nicest ever! Always smiling and giving the best service in the while resort. I recommend paying the additional amount to have access to Privilege. It really makes a difference in the experience at Ocean El Faro. It’s worth every penny.

The employees here are amazing. Love Franchesca, Heriberto, Alajandro, and Wanda and all the Blue team. The poolbar staff are outstanding. Juan Carlos, Francis and Enrique and best butler Jose Miguel. Privilege is worth the money.????????

The room was very nice! I had a great time and truly enjoyed my stay. They have so many different activities to choose from and they’re all so much fun. The beach is absolutely beautiful! Erick was one of my favourite entertainers. There’s a wide variety of food at the buffet and the restaurants were also very good. 10/10 would recommend!

Nelly Cueto is one of the best servers I have encountered in my many travels to the Dominican Republic. Oceans El Faro should be proud to have such an amazing employee. I must add that the rest of the employees were also very quick to make sure you had what you needed. Disregard any of the negative reviews you have read as I have been pleased with the food and service.

The best thing about this hotel is the air conditioning works so well in your room and in all indoor settings, including the buffet and restaurants!! That is so important given how hot and humid it is here. Rooms are a bit dated and could be cleaned better. Beds were fine, but floors were filthy. They should be vacuumed and mopped before a guest arrives. Food is not the best either. You will find something to eat everywhere, but it’s just average. Nothing special. The nightly entertainment is really good. Every night is something different. Tonight they had an amazing magic show and also a phenomenal saxophonist in the town center. Pool activities are just so so. Could be better with an investment in some dancers. The guys who run the pool entertainment look as though they’d rather be playing Scrabble. There are plenty of pools to choose from and a water park, all conveniently located. Bring water shoes for the beach. Large embedded rocks are you wade into the ocean, which you can’t see. Almost broke a toe thinking there wasn’t any rocks. Overall, it was a fine vacation.
