Wonderful Service

We had an amazing vacation highlighted by the excellent staff working at Oceans El Faro. We went for 10 nights adults only and enjoyed every single day there. The staff will help with anything they can and make you feel so welcome. The food we had was fresh and well prepared. The buffets were plentiful and had fun themed evenings each day of the week.

Our vacation started with stuff who forced us to go to 1 hr “presentation” (first they said it’s gonna be a complimentary breakfast) that we didn’t want to, they try to make old scam by buying property there, after completing a complaint form nobody ever contacted us back. They also insisted on upgrading our room to premium. They also chose a beach area with constant big waves that makes it impossible to swim (it’s like that all the time). Stuff in the restaurant was rude. Food is average. The only good thing are cats that they have. Never will be back!

This was our second time at the resort. From the moment we checked in, we experienced prompt and courteous service. Our butler, Deiby, was friendly and always available for any need we had. Our room view was picture perfect and we ate way too much! Deiby made sure to make personal contact daily. We appreciated the daily resort events on the Whats up app and reminders of our dinner reservations. If we return, we hope Deiby will be on duty!
Good vacation

My hubby and I were guests from Dec. 3rd to 10th at the El Beso adults only. Here is our true feelings about this resort: Check-in: quick with minimal information - asked which restaurant was open for a light snack and he said: Rooster 66 turns out it is Route 66. LOL when we checked the map. Room: requested a top floor room and received a ground floor. Clean, comfortable bed and excellent cleaning service. Every day we left a tip in pesos with some chocolates for the women cleaner and the man who stocked our mini bar. The women responsible for our room was very pleasant and appreciative and spoke only Spanish. Pool sound system is extremely loud so you could hear it early in the morning in your room. Food: Fresh, plenty and varied. Lacks some seasoning - bring your own salt and pepper. They have gluten free items. Every fish I had was delicious ie: salmon, shrimp, seafood. LACK OF COMMUNICATION WITH EMPLOYEES: This is an area that management should take very seriously. Our last dinner was at the Steak House. Hubby ordered petit chateau briand with onion rings and I the shrimp skewer with asparagus. When our delicious meals arrived there were no onion rings and no asparagus. We questioned our plates to the server who served our meals which he stated they did not have any that day. Our main order taker should of known what was available that night. Different information given to us by various employees who are responsible for taking our reservation orders beside the buffet. Ie.: What food is served at the Pez Damas restaurant - one said Caribbean and another said South American. This is one example. Mike's café: The employees are very busy and area is very clean. Nice snacks from sweets to small sandwiches and delicious cookies. First two nights of our vacation ordered a decaffeinated coffee for myself. Could not sleep those two first nights. The third night a new server said they DO NOT OFFER decaffeinated coffee. Drank mint tea for the remainder of the week and slept very well. Same with the buffet. Ordered decaf every morning and realized on the 4th morning there is no decaf on the resort. Used my translator on my phone to ask 3 servers which 2 did not know what I was asking. Most part of the restaurants and bars servers were rude with an attitude. This left a sour feeling. There is a huge language barrier as basic English is not known. ie: knife, fork, spoon, etc. Beach: We were on the Adults only side. Many shady areas and plenty of loungers. To the left of the beach there is a small bay where you can swim with smaller waves and is rubbish free. Not sure who cleans this bay. There are many plastic, rubber, various debris on the resort beach which is not cleaned by the resort - not pretty. Enjoyed the female and one male bar server at this beach. There was one male that when he came back for our 2nd order we declined and hubby went to the bar for us as this server was so so rude. This resort has lots of potential for a world class vacation place. Basic English and flow of information to all the employees would be an asset. We had a good vacation.
