Nice hotel a pity it sits close to highway
764isabelleb on Dec 15, 2024
We spent one week at the hotel. The hotel is nice with a nice lobby entrance. Our 1st bedroom was on the highway side with constant noise of the highway. Impossible to sleep without closing window. After many complaints and 2 sleepless nights we got another room (thanks to one member at the reception very professional and kind) on the other side (quieter) even if there was music the whole night long. Hotel was also very crowded. For the rest the hotel is very nice with nature (a pity the highway is nearby) and animals. The beach is also really nice and quiet, and one can enjoy long walks in the sand. Shoes are recommended as there are rocky areas. Personnel was OK One side comment, it took 3.30 hours to get out of the airport in Cancun, terrible experience and summum of disorganization. We will not come back.
Awesome show & dinner at Sumptuori

The show with the meal was very entertaining! Kept us laughing the whole time. The food was ammaaaazzzing!!! So far the best meal! Every portion was delicious, not too salty or sweet. If I have a chance to return this trip, this is where I’d come.
Great place if you don’t have high expectations

Almost everything was satisfactory. Nothing was outstanding in my opinion. For the price paid I would have liked somewhat higher quality food, beverage and service.
An insult to Thai cooking
Hazel B (Phuket, Thailand) on Dec 08, 2024
This review is about their Thai restaurant CHANG THAI We booked for 19.30 and had to wait for 25 minutes together with a number of other clients. For a starter we chose satay no way could lumps of tough pork plus fat be called satay. Next course carrot and coconut soup although having a nice flavour it was just tepid The main course of Pad Thai was just left uneaten it consisted of prawns in undercooked semi solid rice noodles cooked in a sauce. After this abysmal meal we did not want a desert and left. To sum up this experience all we can say is that the chef or cook had never seen or tasted real Thai food and for an hotel classed as 5 star it is not a restaurant to be proud of.
Beautiful Property, Disappointing Service
Chelsea B on Dec 07, 2024
We recently stayed at this resort for a wedding, and while the property and beach are beautiful, the experience was marred by poor service and disorganization. Check-in took around 40 minutes. Although drinks were available, no one offered them. At check-in, we were handed a scribbled on map with restaurant times and informed we needed to make reservations 24 hours in advance. Unfortunately, after attending wedding events, reservations were no longer being accepted. The next morning at 8 AM, all restaurants were fully booked except for the $125-per-head “show” dinner and the buffet. Our room had multiple issues, including a non-functioning safe and air conditioning. Despite reporting these problems to the front desk, nothing was addressed for an entire day. When we followed up, we were told we needed to be in the room for maintenance. Later that night, after numerous calls went unanswered, we had to walk to the lobby again. Maintenance arrived but left without resolving the issue, and by 11 PM, we were told we couldn’t change rooms because maintenance still needed to “try to fix it.” As I am pregnant, I requested extra pillows to help me sleep on my side. These took hours to arrive and only came after yet another trip to the lobby because no one answered the phone. Room service was similarly unreliable—our order never arrived, and we had to leave for dinner hungry after waiting 1.5 hours. We eventually did the paid dinner because everything else was fully booked. Interestingly, the price dropped significantly when we booked late—we ended up paying $32 per person instead of $125. The food was excellent, and perhaps the other restaurants are equally good if you can manage to get in. However, the buffet was a major letdown. Overall, while the setting is lovely, the service is subpar and disorganized. If we weren’t here for a wedding, we would have left after the first night. This resort might be fine for a budget or family trip, but don’t expect high-quality service or a smooth experience.
