Im a palace member and have been to multiple properties... ie The Grand, Jamaica moon palace, etc... this was our first time to Playacar palace... we stayed 7 nights... had a very good time like we always ...do... the staff is superb 100%.. food, desserts, room service... all excellent... Playacar is def smaller and quieter than the others we have been to.. especially the Grand which has over 1,300 rooms and requires being transported by golf carts to get around the resort.. whereas Playacar is about 200 rooms and the entire resort is easily walked completely... playacar has 1 main large pool.. whereas the others have multiple... so its a very different feel... the Grand gives vegas vibes... many things to do and requires energy... whereas Playacar is way more relaxing.. so it depends on the mood you are in.. we loved staying at Playacar.. we have a concierge Eder Borjas who was exceptional and made our stay so much better(conceirge service is included in some of the memberships) .. but even without the memberships the resort is super clean and the staff is exceptional... we visit a different palace resort every year.. and we have always been pleased to the Max...

We went to playacar palace for a girls trip for our thirtieth birthdays and it was the best experience we could imagine! We had a great time enjoying the pool and the beach. Silvia, our attendant at the po...ol, was the absolute highlight of our trip. She was a delight, always so personable and accommodating. She always made sure we had whatever we needed and even helped organize a special lunch for our birthday! Everyone who goes there should find out Silvia’s section of the pool chairs and be sure to sit there. The other highlights were Fernando, our waiter at Madre Mia who again made our birthday celebration so special. We have never laughed so much during a meal before thanks to Fernando and all of the staff at Madre Mia. Lastly, Eric the activities director was also a hoot. We enjoyed bingo in the lobby on our first night while waiting for dinner reservations and he remembered our group every day after that. We were concerned that there would be a lot of kids splashing and being loud during our trip but there few kids that were there were very well behaved and we did not have any issues with kids as opposed to going to an adults only resort. Highly recommend playacar palace overall!

We love this peaceful, quiet little resort. DC Isaac was fantastic. The pool Concierge Nacho and Marvin are simply great. Breakfast every morning with David and Elvie were fantastic and the young lady i...n the lobby bar was a very efficient and kind waitress as well, Leticia.

Absolutely amazing experience! There is always something to do whether it is water aerobics in the pool, bingo or listening to beautiful live music while having fancy dinner. Trattoria was our personal fav...orite restaurant - Jesus was a wonderful server. Big thank you to Daniel, the manager of all the resort's restaurants, for his flexibility and accommodating us outside the normal schedule. The Cafe del Mar has wonderful little desserts for lunch as well (Lydia was a fantastic server as well everytime). Regardless of where you go to eat you will never be disappointed. Our experience here was full of positivity and we highly recommend it to anyone!

Great rooms plenty of chairs avabile when we went their was seaweed on the beach though but we still swam over all it is great. Food was great we stayed for four nights we ate somewhere new everyday. Every...where is kid friendly my kids went to the buffet and were there by themselves and they were treaded the same. I highly recommend this place if you want to go to cozemul but no t stay there. It is very close the harbor. Great place to stay!!!
