We have just got back from 2 weeks at this resort, and it was nothing short of fantastic. Our butlers Baruc and Gonzalo were amazing - they decorated my sons room for him to propose to his girlfriend, and it was stunning. Nothing was too much trouble. The vibe team were amazing - we joined in with the diamond club pool activities every day with Alberto and Valeria - such fun. All the vibe team were amazing (Brian, Uri, Angel, Juliana etc) Even when the hurricane heading for Florida dropped a tropical storm on us the indoor activities were great fun. At the pool the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Carlos, whom we chatted with most days. The waiters were all great, but we loved our interactions with Ventura or Ace Ventura as we called him - he was very funny. The restaurants were great and our butlers made reservations really easy for us. Favourites were Hunters, Taj, Ma Maison, Grazie & Zen. The paella made by the pool every day in DC was amazing. Grazie to go was delicious, as were the lunchtime BBQs and food trucks. We were lucky enough to be here to celebrate Mexican Independence Day, and the party, food, etc. was nothing short of spectacular. We were worried about the reference to crocodiles before we arrived, but they are watched constantly and genuinely don't seem to be interested in human contact. We were alarmed at the stupid American guest that threw a piece of wood at the crocodiles and hit one of the big ones - he said he was seeing if they were real ?? We would highly recommend this hotel - September was a great time to visit - weather was good with an occasional heavy rain shower, generally short-lived, and the resort is quieter. If you are a beach person, seaweed is a problem this time of year, but the hotel clears the beach every morning but is still present in the sea. This is the third Royalton that we have visited and was the best.

I have been trying to reach the Royalton Splash Riveria Cancun to update my credit card for a booking and to get an adjustment because they charged me three times in error for my deposit. Reservations directed me to call the resort directly for both issues. No one at the resort main number will answer the phone. I have been trying since April to reach someone. I have emailed several times, phoned, and tried Facebook Messenger, all to no avail. My reservation will be declined when the balance of the payment becomes due because I cannot update my credit card with anyone. Please help Royalton Splash!

We were happily impressed by the beautiful hotel. Our room was perfect for our family of four- clean and spacious. There was the typical endless things for the kids to do from waterslides, kids centre, beach volleyball, entertainment, and pools. We went during spring break which we were nervous about but for the majority of our stay it was not too busy. We noticed it got busy the last couple days and that caused longer line up’s with the restaurant and food cart. Pros: friendly staff (special shout-out to Julian who worked at guest services who greeted us kindly when we were first arrived and helped us when there was a booking error at the Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant (see below) & he made the extra effort to greet us a farewell). We loved the Brazilian restaurant and Agave restaurant ( staff was really really nice here!) We also loved being at the beach as the pool are can be overstimulating sometimes! Con: long wait time at the steakhouse (2hrs wait!!!) and we had to line up early to make same day resos at their Japanese restaurant only to told they would seat us in back room when we arrived so that derailed our dinner plans! They did try to amend it for the next night but then the female chef made a racist slight towards my family member and food was only OK there.

We are currently at the Royalton Splash. We have had a few fantastic days. The food options are endless, the quality has been great. The rooms are big, clean and bright alongside being modern and full of amenities. The hotel is stunning with loads of lovely pools, bars etc. The hotel reminds me of a cruise, different floors for different things, such as level 3, lobby, coffee shop, shopping centre and a few bars. Floor 1, loads of restaurants, shops, sports bar, ice cream shop etc, Floor 5 (I think) gym, spa etc etc. The entertainment is great, always something going on, however big enough to avoid it if it’s not for you. Overall, a fantastic few days, great for couples, families etc.
