13th Birthday Indulgence!!

I brought my daughter and her friend to Toronto to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday. Our stay at the Royal York was truly exceptional. The lobby and hallways were still adorned with beautiful christmas decor so it felt magical upon arrival. The reception personnel were so warm and courteous and when they inquired about the purpose of our trip they made a note and sent up a birthday treat to our room for my daughter which was so special. Our room was very clean and well appointed, we chose the delux to have the sitting area and it included 2 washrooms! The pool was clean, felt large for a hotel, and was under a skylight which was fun! The towels were super white, super fluffy, and long enough to wrap around a plus sized body! We had in room dining for breakfast and it was fantastic. Fluffy pancakes, crisp bacon, delicious berries (in January!), and all served in that luxiorios hotel manner on a table with a white cloth, covered dishes, flowers, etc. Just wonderful. The Royal York truly made a very special occasion unforgettable. ??

Had the pleasure of staying at the Royal York this week. Beautifully decorated for the holidays ! The staff and the service received was GOLD STAR! Everyone was so kind and friendly and attentive to every need or question, including but not limited to Concierges Paul and Sylvia, as well as the luggage storage staff, valet, doormen and front desk, all whose names I don't have. Also the wait staff in the Imperial Room. We had a very large Signature room. Beds were very comfortable. Room was super clean and bathroom had everything you needed, including a lot of towels for only two people. For such a large hotel, it was surprisingly quiet in rooms and lobby. You cannot beat the location of this historical building! It's not an inexpensive stay, but it's worth it, imho. My only suggestion is to offer an on line check-in and digital room key feature, similar to what Hilton brand offers.
